The next day

Charlie ran into her house. Nobody was due to be home for hours. Her brother and sister were doing after school revision and her parents were out shopping all day. She had plenty of time to get what she needed. Grabbing the Baseball bat she had just bought and ran upstairs to her room with it.

She threw the bat on her bed and grabbed a bag of sharpies. Down one side of her bat she wrote 'LIGHTS OUT' in big red and black letters and other random words and phrases around it. Got to go out in style haven't you?

Once she'd finished she grabbed her white school rucksack, emptied the contents onto the floor. Pens and books scattered across the floor and under he bed. Kicking them aside she made her way to her wardrobe and opened it up. She took out some jeans, tops, underwear and shorts and shoved them into the bag.

"Won't you want a new killer outfit? You can make one now and wear it for your next victims, how about it?" A sing song voice asked.

Charlie thought about it for a minute and then rummaged through her wardrobe once again. She threw off the clothes she had on then threw on the new ones. A galaxy crop top, black jeans, a black leather jacket and walking boots. Her makeup bag looked at her. Grabbing it she tipped half the contents on her dresser and went to the mirror.

Charlie was already pale so she didn't put any foundation on. She put on big winged black eye shadow with purple bits at the edge of the wing and dark red lipstick.

Striking a pose, she admired her new look. It wasn't her. Usually it was only loose jeans and a hoodie. Not fitting or sexy or interesting. Now, she was reborn. Sexy clothes, an image that made people look at her and not look away.

She zipped up her bag when something clicked. The clothes she had killed Matt in. They were hidden under her bed.

Dropping to the floor she crawled under and pulled them out. Her white t-shirt and pale blue jeans were now mud stained and covered in blood. Someone would notice if she dumped them in a bin in her house or around town. Ramming the clothes into her bag she decided she would deal with them later.

Glancing at the clock she noticed she still had loads of time left before anyone came home. Plenty of time to run away.

'They don't want you here anyway. Your a monster. They know you are. They'll send you away!'

"Shut up..." Mumbling she continued to shove the clothes in her bag.

'You and I both know they all hate you. Especially when they find out what you've done. Not even the girls will speak to you a again."

"I said shut up!" Charlie screamed and threw the bag at the wall by the mirror. The impact caused the mirror to shake and pictures stuck to it to fall off.

"No...no no no!" She ran over to them and picked them up.

Most were just plain photos of old school pictures or days out with family and friends. They didn't matter to her. Only two of them really did. One was a picture of her and the girls.

It was a windy day. All of them were sat in and around a tree by the lake in the woods. They were happy. Smiling. Alive.

The other was her and Red. Gorgeous, beautiful Red. There was other photos of them of course. Hundreds of not thousands. But this one was special. This was their first kiss.

It captured the moment of sweetness and shyness and love all in one photo. A day Charlie wouldn't forget to save her life.

Tears streamed down her face as she collapsed to the floor howling. She screamed her self raw and clutched the picture in her hand. Red was gone and she couldn't do anything else about it. Footsteps came up the stairs and towards her room.

She continued to cry. Someone knocked st the door.

"Charlie?"

"Go away!" She screamed with a hoarse voice.

Her younger triplets entered the room.

"Charlie! You poor thing!" Her sister ran to her and hugged her.

She tried to wriggled away but her attempts meant nothing.

"Oh Charlie what's wrong?"

Charlie shook her head. Nobody understood what she was going through. She didn't want to have to explain herself.

"Look you don't have to tell me now. Ok? Want to hear something interesting?" Her sister didn't wait for her to answer. "Matts been found dead. I found out at school so I came back early. He was found in the woods by police and his head had been smashed to pieces."

Charlie started laughing. She laughed as tears continued to roll down her face and onto to her clothes. Her sister looked at her startled. She looked at Charlie properly and looked at the rucksack and the bat lying on her bed. The bloody clothes from last night were hanging out slightly.

"Charlie...Please don't tell me you did this..."

'She knows to much! Get rid of her now before she ruins everything!'
