Glinda sat in her seat staring at the the glass. Other visitors sat around her waiting to see their person. She clutched the phone in her hand and waited for Captain to come. A bell rang. The guess on the other side of the glass opened a door and a few officers and inmates entered the room. Captain was the last person to enter. Her face lit up when she saw Glinda. She was wearing orange overalls and a white shirt. Her hair was tied back in a low pony tail and she look grey. Glinda smiled as Captain sat down exited and picked up her phone.
"Hey Glinda. How's life?" Captain grinned.
"You are such a idiot you know that?" Glinda raised an eyebrow.
"Well who cares. I wanted to protect you. I couldn't lose you like I lost them." Captain shrugged.
Glinda a heart ached and she closed her eyes.
"You still miss him don't you?" Captain asked.
"Of course I do..." Glinda muttered not opening her eyes.
"He loved you so much you know that? All he would go on about was you, you know. Flower kept hitting him or gagging him to just shut him up. One time we licked him in the basement all day until mum and dad let him out!" Captain laughed on the other side of the glass.
Glinda opened her eyes and smiled at her. She knew the pain she felt was nothing compared to what her best friend felt. He was her lover and she missed him but he was her brother and she couldn't save him.
"I know he told me." She laughed, "But still why do that for us? Your going to be sent to an asylum for fuck sake! Captain you hate it there!" Glinda shook her head sadly.
She watched Captains face grimace at the memories of those places.
"I don't care. I'll make the doctors think I'm better. They'll eventually just send me to prison...I can't let you lot go down for this especially not Charlie..." Captain mumbled down the line.
"You love her don't you?" Glinda smiled sadly.
"That obvious?"
"I've only just realised to be honest but yeah."
"Anyway on another topic what happened at your interviews?" Captain leaned forward turning her full attention to her.
"Well they seemed to believe us thankfully...well most of us..." Glinda mumbled.
"What do you mean...most of us?"
"Charlie...She lost it during her interview. The officer told Edith that the doctor was concerned about her..." Glinda took her eyes off Captain.
"Where is she...?"
Glinda didn't reply. She fiddled with the phone cord.
"Where is she Glinda!" Captain shouted.
"Hey keep it down over there!" A guard shouted at her.
"Captain...they took her to an asylum..." Glinda mumbled looking her in the eye.
Captain dropped her phone and stared at Glinda. She looked as if she was going to cry.
"Captain?" Glinda said through the phone. She knew she wouldn't be able to hear her but she tried anyway.
Captain picked up the phone again, her hands shaking."Glind's you need to help her..." Captain said so quietly Glinda could only just hear what she said.
"Captain how there's-"
"Look you need to help her! And I know how so Loren very carefully to what I'm about to tell you ok?"
"OK go." Glinda replied hanging on to the next few things Captain was about to tell her.
