"You need to turn around!" Charlie shouted at Captain.
Captain shook her head. She was looking in the mirror. Turning around Charlie saw a swarm of police cars surrounding any space the could find a few meters away from them. The tow helicopters were back and were flying above the car.
"We're trapped..." Charlie mumbled. "What do we do?"
"Not we Charlie, me...Get out the car..." Captain said sternly not looking at her but in the mirror.
"What? No!"
"Get of the car Charlie!" Captain said again louder.
"Like I said no!" Charlie shouted.
"Like I said get out the fucking car Charlie!" Captain shouted back, she grabbed her shoulders and shook her.
"I'm not leaving you..." Charlie said softly.
"Why not!" Captain wasn't shouting anymore but she was still pissed.
"Because...." Charlie muttered.
"Because what?" Her voice was harsh to Charlie's ears. It was now or never.
"Because I love you! OK!" Charlie shouted.
Captain let go of her shoulders and stared at her. Stunned.
"What?..." Captain said softly.
"I...I said I love you..." Charlie mumbled tears rolling down her cheeks.
"Charlie..." Captain whispered.
"I don't know when it started OK...I-I don't know it just happened. You've been there for me since we were kids and after Red and-and Matt and everything that's happened...I can't leave you Captain...I've been through the asylum crap for months! If I can handle that I can handle prison! I can't let you go down for all this not again..." Charlie cried.
Captain pulled her into a hug. She clung onto her tight sobbing.
"It's OK...I've got you..." Captain whispered in her ear. A loud voice interrupted their moment. A police officer was hanging slightly out of a helicopter with a megaphone in his hands.
"Miss Ohio! We know that you and Miss Evans are both in the vehicle! Please can you both come out with your hands up!" The mega phone speaker shouted.
Charlie turned and looked out the remains of the back window. The rain had soaked her hair and clothes and she was shivering from the cold. Through the rain, by the police cars she saw a sight that broke her heart. Standing in the rain amongst the other dozens of people stood four girls. Katie, Glinda, Edith and Naomi. All wet. All shivering. All scared.
"You will look after them for me...while I'm gone...won't you?" Captain asked Charlie softly. She turned to see that Captain too was looking out the window at their best friends.
"C...I won't leave you..."
"Please Charlie...I've seen too many people be hurt in my time...I want someone to look after them...and I want that to be you..." Captain unbuckled her and Charlie's seat belts.
Captain leaned in closer until their noses were touching. Her hot breath tickled Charlie's face.
"Dead or alive, she loves you and always will...and so do I..." Captain whispered softly, tears streaming down her face.
Captain lunged forward and pressed her lips against Charlie's. They were soft and warm and tasted sweet. Charlie wrapped her arms around her necks and kissed her back. Rain poured down on their entwined bodies. It was Captain who broke the kiss. She looked at her face and stroked it.
Charlie engraved her face into her memory. Her hair was tangled and wet, mud and scratches covered her face and body. She literally looked as if she had just been dragged through a hedge backwards and then thrown into a storm. But her eyes. The darkest yet brightest shade of blue she had ever seen. To Charlie she was the most crazy, stupid and smartest person she had ever met. That's what made her Captain.
"I love you..." Charlie whispered pressing her forehead against hers.
"I love you too...I'll say hi to her for you..." Captain whispered back.
Before Charlie could say anything else Captain gave her a final kiss on the lips before pushing her out of the car. She landed hard on her back and rolled slightly down the cliff. She felt people surround her and saw her friends terrified faces looking down at her. They pulled her up and she saw that she had landed in a large puddle. She was covered in mud and looked up to see the car was starting to move
"Captain!" She screamed as loud and as hard as she could.
"Sienara bitches!" Was the final thing she heard her lover say before she drove off the end of the cliff.
