Running From The Past

Chapter 12

Glinda screamed Edith fainted Naomi gasped and Katie went to the toilet to throw up.

Charlie watched her friends reaction to whats shes done. Before her and Captain had brought them all up they explained everything that had happened, Matt's murder, her sisters murder, her and Captain voices and other bits. They desperately needed to get them to help get rid of the body. Otherwise Charlie was in for it.

"What are we going to do?" Naomi mumbled not taking her eyes off the body.

'If they don't agree you know what to do...'

"Please you have to help us! We can't get rid of her on our own. The police are all over Matts body already and if they find this... I mean come on two murders in twenty four hours! Might as well have a neon sign over Charlie saying 'I did it!'." Captain stammered on.

"But where were you planning to run to Charlie?" Glinda asked, "if you didn't think they would have found you within practically hours and now we're all a bloody part of this! Where are you gonna go?"

Charlie shrugged.

"Brilliant! You don't even know!" Glinda shouted.

"She could always stay at the dem for a bit? Nobody will ever find we there since we're the only people who know about it..." Katie said coming back in the room. She was a bit pale cause she had been sick but she gave Charlie and Captain a weary smile.

"That's not a bad idea Katie! Anyway me Charlie can stay for as long as we like since nobody knows about it." Captain said.

"You and Charlie?!" Naomi cried, "Oh god what have you done?!"

"Apart from the car accident and my voices nothing but Charlie can't go through this alone!"

"Yes I can!" Charlie snapped.

"Shut up no you can't!" She snapped back, "and anyway I'm gonna need to go into hiding since I'm helping her kill the rest of the guys!"

"What other guys?" Glinda almost screamed.

"Matts mates. They can't get away with what they've done to us, or to Red. They helped a murderer cover his tracks and for all we know they probably knew about Matt planning on raping me!" Charlie shouted back.

"Quit shouting! The neighbours will hear us!" Naomi clapped her hands to silence them.

Everyone stood or sat silent. It was like this until Edith groaned finally coming round. Katie went to sort her out and explained what had happened when she passed out.

"Captain please... we can help Charlie but we can't let you both do this!" Glinda plead.

"At least...not without back up..." Edith muttered from where she was sat.

"What do you mean?" Charlie asked curiously.

"We mean...we're all part our gang aren't we? No matter what we do we are all part of Overdrive and we always stick together..."  Edith started.

Glinda rolled her eyes and laughed, "Cutting to the chase! We're going to help to!"

Charlie squealed in excitement hugging everyone. They squeezed her back quickly before she jumped to the next person. When she got to Captain she smiled.

"Thank you..." she whispered.

"Even though she's dead...she loves you and she always will..." C replied smiling and hugging back.

Someone's phone started to buzz. It was Naomi's. Looking at it she went pale.

"Shit...Charlie it's your mum!"

"Answer it quick!" Katie hurried.

"Hello...Hi Kirsty! No we're out why?...Ok that'll be lovely...we will...what time did you say?... ok we will thanks bye!" Naomi hurried off the phone shaking.

"What?" Charlie asked worried.

"She's invited us for tea...she's asking to tell ur sister to go to her mates for the night...and she'll be home at 8..."

"What time is it?!" Charlie asked panicking.

"It's just gone 11:30." Edith replied looking at her own phone.

"Ok so we have loads of time to clean this up and go!" Charlie laughed.

"It's not that easy, we have to get rid of the body without being seen and clean the blood and get out of here! And the police has special spray to show blood even though it's been cleared up! No matter what you clean it with!" Captain said. She was a forensic genius and knew how to clean a crime scene and not leave a trace.

"So what do we do?" Edith asked quietly from where she was sat.

"You'll see. I know what to do but we have to hurry! And Glinda...Do you still have pigs on your farm?" Captain asked.
