LUKE'S POV
Once I felt Elena's body shift in bed the next morning, I woke up and stretched. She had already gotten up from bed by the time I had sat up. I watched as she walked out of the room quietly, not looking back to check if I was awake or not. It was adorable how she tried to stay quiet even if I was awake. I snapped out of my tired little trance and got up as well, walking quickly out of the room and catching up to Elena in the hallway. When I approached her from behind, she glanced behind herself and met my eyes, smiling at me. I smiled back and poked her side. We didn't make any noise just in case Miles and Iris were still asleep. Elena led the way down the stairs with me following closely behind her.
When I reached the bottom and walked around into the living room, I came face to face with Miles and Iris kissing on the couch. Elena saw it too and her jaw dropped. We exchanged a look, the pair on the couch not even noticing us. I laughed a little and began to clap. "Bravo, bravo. Finally, damn. Took you two long enough."
Miles and Iris jumped away from each other, Iris' face turning reddish-pink and Miles looked at me with the most annoyed expression on his face. I glanced at Elena and we started giggling a lot. I think Miles noticed the connection Elena and I had began to create and made a stupid comment about it. "Your guys' turn." He said, causing me to roll my eyes. Iris let out a soft little laugh, her hand in Miles' now.
"Oh fuck off, Miles." I wrapped my arm around Elena and looked down at her. "Lena's way too hot for me." I teased, letting go. "Besides, I wouldn't kiss her in front of you anyway. You'd probably whip out your dick and start jacking off right here."
Miles bit his lip and seemed to get pretty annoyed with my joke. "Shut up. Why are you being such a dick?" He asked.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to joke with you while you're on your period." I said, turning and walking into the kitchen, Elena following behind me. I opened the cupboard and pulled out a poptart, putting it in the toaster and grabbing a plate. "I'm throwing a party today!" I called out so everyone in the cabin would hear me.
Elena let out an unhappy groan as she grabbed a bowl from the cupboard and then pulled out some cereal and milk. "Another one?" She asked as she grabbed a spoon. She poured the cereal into the bowl, then the milk.
The toaster popped and I pulled my poptart out and set it on the plate I had gotten out. I grabbed the milk from Elena and poured myself a glass, then giggled at her. "Yes, another party, lame-o. Why the groan? You could get laid tonight if you tried."
Elena blushed, looking down at her cereal and swirling the little pieces around in the milk. "No, I don't want to get laid. Not by anybody coming to the party, at least." She answered. I bit my lip, slightly hurt by the comment. I thought she liked me.
"Not even me?" I asked, trying to make it sound like a lighthearted joke. Elena looked up at me, her brown eyes meeting mine.
"I said coming to the party. You're not coming, you're hosting." She explained, looking away from me. I think she realized that she just admitted I'm the only person she wants at the moment. She just shook her head. "I'm an idiot." She mumbled.
"Yeah, you are." I laughed, shaking my head and taking a bite of my poptart. "I don't know why you won't expand your horizons. You could get any guy you wanted if you really tried, El. You're hot stuff. You just have to have a bit more confidence and embrace it. Accept yourself."
