The day had started fairly normal for the sides who resided in Thomas' mind. They had helped him through his day, as always, looking out for his well being.

Of course, every one of them only wanted what was best for Thomas; although, occasionally what they thought was good for Thomas clashed with what another thought to be right. More often than not it was Roman and Anxiety who clashed against each other, not a day would pass without the other spitting witty remarks back and forth.

Some days were more quiet than others, only the occasional outbursts, but others the two's fights were nonstop. Today was one of those joyous days, and by the time night came, Logan and Patton were exhausted from trying to get them to stop. Finally they had had enough, and stuck the two together to watch over as Thomas slept to be sure everything was okay, going to bed themselves with frustrated sighs.

"Anxiety, that isn't really necessary. You already had him check the closet twice, there's nothing in there." Roman rolled his eyes, trying to drag him away so that Thomas could finally rest.

"I'm just being sure, okay? What if we missed something? It's not going to hurt to check three more times." He argued back, pushing Roman off of him and continuing to have Thomas check around the room.

"We didn't miss anything! Now stop it, he'll never get any rest like this! Stop making him worry so much." Roman huffed, and Anxiety stopped in his attempts to check the closet again.

"Did you just tell me to stop making him worry? Have you forgotten, Princey, that that is my entire job?" Anxiety crossed his arms, facing Roman with a dumbfounded look. Roman just stood and spluttered.

"Well-maybe you need to give it a rest! He will be fine, I don't understand why they made both of us stay here anyways. I could handle it just fine on my own!" Roman shouted, and Anxiety scoffed.

"Yeah right, they put us both on the job so that we wouldn't fall asleep, moron. Now let me check the closet one more-" He paused mid-sentence, turning to find that Thomas had already fallen asleep without the two of them doing anything. "He didn't even need us.." Anxiety grumbled, groaning and walking over to sit in his chair.

Roman muttered something under his breath about Anxiety, and fighting once more ensued. They continued to argue, until finally something was said that made them both stop and face away from each other, arms crossed and scowls on their face.

It didn't take long, sitting in the silent dimly lot room, for the two of them to drift off.
