"Well this is just fan-freaking-tastic, isn't it?" Anxiety grumbled, walking away from Roman and deeper into the forest. He kept muttering things to himself, under his breath. Just quiet enough Roman couldn't understand him, though he knew Anxiety was most likely blaming him for this mess and insulting him.

"Where are you going?" Roman followed quickly behind him. "We have to stick together, to find our first challenge. Don't you want to make it out of here?"

"You can go do those stupid challenges if you want. I'm going to find a way out that doesn't involve possible death." Anxiety huffed, walking faster in an attempt to lose Roman. Said trait just walked faster, eventually catching up to him and grabbing hold of his arm. Anxiety froze, not facing Roman and glaring at the ground.

"Hey! Were you listening to her at all? She said that was the only way out of here. If you want to die alone in this place, fine, but I suggest you come with me. We can both get out of here." Roman argued, and Anxiety stopped, seeming to think about it for a minute. He seemed scared, Roman noticed.

He frowned, then looked up at Roman with a glare. "So my choices are die out here doing nothing, or die in one of those challenges while you leave me behind?"

"I wouldn't do that, Anxiety." Roman frowned as well. "No matter how tempting it is with your attitude you have. We can both get out of here."

"Yeah right. Even if you didn't leave me behind I'm not like you, I don't do this sort of thing all the time. Facing danger isn't something I'm capable of. I won't ever be able to make it." He pulled his arm from Roman's grasp, not making an attempt to run, and also not looking at Roman.

Roman was about to speak up again, but was cut off as the ground started to shake beneath them. Anxiety stumbled and started to fall, Roman grabbed him by the arm once again in an attempt to help him stay standing, only managing to fall over himself. Roman hit the ground first, Anxiety landing on top of him, making him gasp for air.

When the world finally stopped moving the two were able to stand, looking around to find themselves surrounded by a wall of branches and leaves. There was an opening to one side of them, from what Roman could see it seemed to branch off into two different paths once inside.

A maze.

"I guess the first challenge found us.." He breathed, stepping up closer to the opening. He was about to walk in, and noticed Anxiety wasn't following.

"You coming?" He called back over his shoulder. Anxiety said nothing, just standing there and looking around the maze. He looked terrified.

Roman waited on him only a moment longer, sighing. "Fine. Go ahead, stay here; what do I care?" He grumbled, turning and making his way inside.

Anxiety watched him go. He knew he would be left behind, abandoned in this terrifying place. He couldn't move. He was doing nothing but slowing Roman down, keeping him from getting back home. Keeping him from helping Thomas. He couldn't breathe.

Of course Roman was going to try to leave him.

He let out the breath he was holding in. His legs started to move, and he was following Roman into the maze. He paused as he found where it split, thinking about where Roman had turned. He had been lost in thought at the time, and wasn't positive. He made a guess, and turned right.

Anxiety refused to be left behind.
