Anxiety shot up with a gasp, side still stinging with pain, but a lot duller now.

It was real, oh god it was real, Roman had tried to kill him and now he was alone, and even if he wasn't dead yet he was sure to die out here now that he was alone. Surely he had lost a lot of blood by now, he knew he was dying, and he couldn't breathe. He rocked himself back and forth, tears pouring from his eyes and sobs shaking his entire body. He felt something touch his shoulder and he shrieked, falling away from whatever it was and staring back at it with wide and scared eyes.

Roman. He was there, he was in front of Anxiety, he hadn't left him. Anxiety looked down at his own body, finding no blood staining his shirt, no injury from Roman's sword. A quick glance at the ground showed him why his side stung; a rock. He had been sleeping on a rock.

Sleeping. It had all been a dream. It had all been a dream.

Anxiety remembered Roman, and looked up to see him still sitting there, looking confused and concerned.

"I-I'm sorry..." He mumbled, wiping at his eyes and trying to calm himself.

"Bad dream?" Roman guessed before Anxiety could explain. He just nodded, still trying to rid his eyes of tears. "I had one too." He sighed, looking away from Anxiety and getting lost in his thought. The two sat for a while, not saying anything. Anxiety's breathing eventually returned to normal, and he inched over to sit closer to Roman, staring into the trees with him.

"You know, I-" Roman stopped himself, voice breaking as he tried to speak. He sighed again, looking over to Anxiety, showing him the royal had also been crying. He took another minute to compose himself, leaving them in silence again. Anxiety sat with him and waited patiently. He had felt just as Roman did right now many times. He knew it was best to wait for him to talk on his own. He just hoped he wasn't going to say what Anxiety thought he would.

"I believe we should really stick together, out here." He spoke at last, shocking Anxiety. "It-It's dangerous for both of us. I hope we can both trust in each other enough to work together. I hope we both make it out of here safely."

Anxiety wasn't sure what to say. He had been expecting the exact opposite of what Roman said to happen. He didn't have a response prepared for this.

"Yeah," He finally nodded, taking a deep breath to keep calm. "I agree with you."

He noticed how relieved Roman looked, and wondered if they had had similar dreams. What else could shake the royal like this?

The two both agreed to get up and start moving, after finding some drinkable water and something safe to eat(Roman appeared to know more than just sword fighting). As they were walking Anxiety tried to start up a conversation, not exactly keen on staying in silence after the dream he had.

"What do you think the next challenge could be?" He asked, and Roman thought on it for a moment, before shrugging.

"There's a lot of things it could be. This is the Forest of Fears, though, so it must be something Thomas is afraid of." He answered. They both were thinking about what it could possibly be, when the ground started shaking again.

"Guess there's our answer." Roman drew his sword, doing his best not to get knocked over this time.

"Not again." Anxiety groaned, tripping and once again dragging Roman down with him.

You guys caught on and that's no fun, haha. Anyways, on to challenge number 2. Whoop whoop.
