Chapter 6

Darkness.

Blood.

Quietness.

Blood.

What was it with the blood? It was everywhere in the darkness, on the ceiling, on the floor, the walls. Even the air had its scent now. Sebastian's nose twitched at the smell as it coaxed him to have a drink. It smelled like honey, with the mix of a rich scent of chocolate-Oh, can't forget about the light smell of iron and salt too, that's the only way to tell that it was blood. But who in the world would have blood that smelled like honey?

The darkness deteriorated around him suddenly and revealed an empty parking lot with a dark blue sky hanging above. Sebastian looked around to get his bearings then saw a redheaded boy sitting on the sidewalk alone. That smell of blood earlier was strong here, more specifically, it was strong around the boy.

Sebastian slowly walked up to him. The boy kept his head down and arms laying across his lap but now that he was up close, Mr. Belmont could see small rivers of blood just pouring from the boy's arms onto the ground.

"The dead will lay in rivers. Bodies will burn. Tears of sorrow." The boy said softly.

Sebastian blinked, "I beg your pardon?"

The boy's head jerked up and Sebastian swore he was in a horror film. Blood rolled down from the boy's black eyes. His irises were red and staring seriously at Mr. Belmont.

"Blood will pour down and bodies will raise." The boy rose to his feet, "Child of Death, bring death in your wake. Kill those who seek to kill you or let the world die. One year, and you will die."

Sebastian took a step back, "I'm not a child. Who the hell are you?" But the boy vanished before he got an answer.

"Who are you!?" Sebastian cried out. A bone chilling wind swept in like a graceful dancer but the cold didn't bother him. The fact that the boy had black, bleeding eyes with red irises scared him more than being alone with a cold wind. The smell of the honey-chocolate blood was fading away with every millisecond, then before Sebastian knew it, the scent was gone.

He took a breath, "It's just a dream, Sebastian. It's just a dream."

"IS IT?!" Two extremely large, sinister-looking red eyes with razor sharp teeth appear in the sky, causing the billionaire to fall back and land on his rear. The eyes and teeth drew closer to him, opening its mouth wide to eat him whole.

Sebastian jumped to his feet and ran. The world around him and shifting into walls and many doors. Then the world was dark for only a split second before a wall appeared out of nowhere. Unable to stop in time, Sebastian smacked into it face first and fell to the ground.

Using a few moments to gather his senses, Sebastian closed his eyes and buried his face in his hand as the pain swirled like water through his head. He slowly looked up, finding the world around him was now a large white room with doors everywhere; in the floor, on the ceiling, sideways on the wall, and some where even upside down. A black door caught his attention though. It was up right and just sitting there ominously. He slowly stood and debated whether or not to approach.

All the while, the strange boy appeared behind him, with an object in his hand that flashed in the light.

Sebastian took a step forward, then quickly turned as a slight tingle of fear traveled down his back and backed up as a knife flashed across an inch from his chest. With grace, he kick the knife out of the boy's hand then spun around for a roundhouse kick. His foot struck the boy's chest and sent him flying towards the wall.

But instead of hitting the wall, the boy instantly evaporated into nothing. Then a gargling sound filled the air and a rumble shook the ground. Sebastian held out his hands to keep his balance and tremor became stronger. The doors around him started to fall from the walls and ceiling, then the black door swung open and an invisible force knocked him off his feet. He fell and the floor suddenly became a body of water.
