Desperation and sadness swallowed the living room. A weary Sebastian was on the couch drinking a glass of synthetic blood, which he swiped from Richard’s blood stash in the mini fridge in the laundry room.
The moment that he had returned to the home, Adrien had gone into a raging fit and bit him to get out of his grip, then ran down into the basement. Why was it so hard to connect with this boy? Sebastian knew what was going on so why couldn’t Adrien just say that it was his father molesting him?
What kind of mental state was this kid in?
“Sebastian!” Richard called from the basement, “I need help down here.”
With a heavy sigh, Sebastian set his glass down and headed down into the basement. Richard pointed over to the corner where Adrien was huddled up and muttering to himself.
“What happened?” Sebastian asked.
Richard shrugged, “All I said was that we could help put a stop to this and when I mentioned that we can put his attacker in jail, he flipped and started talking to someone named Teddy. I don’t know what to do now.”
Sebastian walked over to the redhead. “Adrien. Adrien!”
The boy snapped his eyes up at the vampire.
“Look at you. Huddled up in a corner like a mouse and muttering to yourself. Perhaps you do deserve to be in your father’s possession. It was foolish for me to even get involved with this.”
“Sebastian, what are you saying?” Richard asked.
“Stay out if this, brother.” Sebastian turned back to Adrien. “You’re so pathetic. Weak and useless. I see why now you’re father molested you, that’s all you’re good for.”
Adrien stood, “Shut up!”
Sebastian smirked. “Make me. If you think that my involvement was the wrong choice, then make me pay for it. Otherwise, I see a nice glass of fresh blood to satisfy me for several nights.”
He flashed his fangs and Adrien trembled. The redhead looked around and grabbed a dagger off the weapon rack on the wall.
Sebastian simply smiled and gestured a hand down his torso. “Well, what are you waiting for? I don’t have all night and I might even give you back to your sadist father if I get bored. I’m sure he’ll love to continue rapping you.”
“He didn’t do anything!” Adrien lunged forward but the vampire turned into mist and reappeared on the other side of the room.
“Is that all you got?” Sebastian taunted. He glanced at his brother, who had a fearful and worried look on his face, and held up his hand before Richard approached. “Stay out of this.”
“Stay out?! What the hell are you thinking?” Richard shirked.
“I know what I’m doing.” Sebastian replied as he swiftly dogged Adrien’s clumsy swing. “What’s wrong Adrien? Don’t have the fight in you? Maybe all those nights of love making made you soft. Why even defend that monster huh? Why keep denying what I already know? You’re like the kid who stoled from the cookie jar and lied about it.”
“Shut up! You don’t know anything!” Adrien threw the dagger. . . .
And Sebastian plucked it out of the air. “But I do know. I was there. I heard what he was doing to you.”
“You don’t know a thing!” Adrien screamed. “You’re a stupid, naive man who should’ve just letted me rot!” He charged at the vampire but suddenly ran into a cloud of mist. The redhead tripped and fell onto the floor as Sebastian reappeared on the other side of the room.
