Adrien awoke with a headache. The floor was cold and hard, causing him to sit up quickly, which only made his headache worst. The stone walls around him were bleak, moonlight glimpsed through the iron bar window.

He scooted over to a corner, pulling his knees in and trembling from the cold. “Sebastian? Where are you?”

The old wooden door in front of him opened and a tall man with black hair and honey tone eyes entered. Adrien immediately recognized who it was and paled. “Mr. Belmont!”

Gabriel smiled. “Why hello Adrien. Wondering where you are? Welcome to France. Sorry for the poor room choice, we’re lacking in rooms at the moment.” He tossed some fresh cloths towards him. “The least I can do.”

“Why am I here?” Adrien demanded, suddenly feeling brave. He knew there was something evil about this man from the moment he saw him.

“You’re an honer guest. You may not know this, but you hold the whole vampire race in your very blood.”

Adrien leaned against the wall. “What do you mean?”

“In an ancient vampire prophecy, there is a person know as ‘The Child’. Pure blood runs though this innocent child’s veins. And he’s suspected to be innocent.” Gabriel smirked at him. “But you’re not as innocent as you seem.”

Adrien glared at him and stayed silent.

“Just for your own knowledge, you’re in a vampire castle. The other inhabitants won’t hesitate to feed on you. Oh don’t worry, I’ll be sure to give you some food. By tomorrow night, you have a destiny to preform.”

“Destiny? What the hell are you talking about? Where’s Sebastian?!”

Gabriel arched a brow, “My son isn’t here at the moment. In fact, I wonder if he’ll make here by tomorrow. He seems to care about you, I wonder how deep that concern goes. Good night, Mister Horn.”

Adrien ran up to the door as it was slammed in his face. He peeked out the small barred window in the door. A bright lit torch hung from the wall.

He gave the door handle a jiggle but it was locked. Damnit, it was like being in the basement all over again. He slid against the door, feeling helpless, weak. He had to get out of here.

“Right, like you are going to get out of here.” Said Teddy, damping the mood.

Adrien shook his head. No, this time he was. He couldn’t go back into that dark world. Now being in a castle filled with vampires only saw him as dinner, he had to get out or be killed.

He stood and chanced into the clothes Gabriel had given him. Then he started to pace around.

“Just like old times huh?” The white bear asked, sitting near the barred window that let in moonlight. “Pacing around, trying to figure out how to escape your father.”

Adrien looked up. Yes, this was just like that, only now it was for life or death. He looked at the door and studied it. There was no hope in picking the lock (he didn’t know how to do that in the first place) nor was there hope in shimming the hinges out.

“You could trying climbing,” Teddy suggested, “But then you can’t get through the bars.”

“Shut up Teddy.” Adrien replied. He gazed around his cell. Shackles hung from the walls, a mouse scurried into its mouse-hole. Adrien sat on the floor. “Damnit, it’s hopeless.”

“I hear a heartbeat.”

Adrien stood as the door unlocked. A man, pale skin, red eyes with brown hair, entered the cell. He was dressed in simple grey robe with a black sash around his waist. He lick his lips, “Hmm, and a nice heart beat it is.”
