Betrayal. Could one say that betrayal was taken place here even though one didn't know the true nature of another? Had that one mistake hadn't been made, would that thin threat of trust still linger?

Sebastian stood by Adrien's side as Richard opened the door. Mr. Horn stepped in, his eyes were dulled with disappointment and anger towards his son. He slowly walked up and stood in front of the two.

"That is the last time I take you anywhere." Mr. Horn hissed at the redhead. Adrien lowered his head.

"What happened to his arm?" Collin snapped at Sebastian.

"Please don't tell him," Adrien said quietly. The billionaire gazed down at him and knew what he was referring to.

"A cutting accident. Adrien was helping me cut some vegetables when the knife slipped and cut his arm." Sebastian lied with grace, looking up at Collin. "I'm deeply sorry but I assure you my brother is an excellent healer. Adrien will not need stitches but make sure you change the bandage once a week to prevent infections."

Mr. Horn motioned his son to head to the door. "I will."

"How are you feeling?" Richard asked as Adrien made his way towards the door.

"I've been better," Mr. Horn replied. "But I'm afraid this will be the last time I attend your parties with my son."

"Mr. Horn, did you know about the scars on your son's back." Sebastian asked. "I'm concern to where he got those from."

Adrien's hand touched the door knob—and froze like ice. He snapped his head around towards the vampire and glared with evil hatred. That fucking moron, how could he do this?! How could he let the demon know that he knew about the scars even after Adrien told him not to tell? Was he trying to give the boy more punishment to endure?

That rotten, two-timing, son of a bitch! Go to hell Mr. Belmont. Burn in agony and drown in your own blood, monster.

Collin slowly turned towards Adrien, anger flashed in his eyes before he looked back at the young billionaire. "I do. Adrien was. . . . .abducted a year ago. It was a miracle that he was returned to us. Unfortunately he as harmed by his captor. He hasn't been the same either." He looked over his shoulder, "Go wait in the car."

Sebastian watched with a heavy heart as Adrien stepped outside. He knew the boy hated him now. Being so blunt with that question broke whatever trust was starting to form between them—if there was anyone at all.

But it had to be done. Mr. Horn just confirmed Sebastian's fears. As their father came down the stairs to greet his old friend, the twins stepped into the living room and talked in whispers.

"He's lying." Richard said with anger. "Most of those wounds are few years old and some were recently inflicted upon Adrien, like two weeks ago."

Sebastian nodded. "I know. Adrien hates his father and now I can confirm my reason to why."

"You don't think. . . . .?"

He nodded again. "Yes, but I want Adrien to tell us before we truly believe in that statement. He probably hates me now though. Did you see that anger in his eyes?"

Richard patted his shoulder, "If you hadn't asked, we would't have been able to confirm that Mr. Horn was lying and is hiding something. Adrien will get over it in time. He'll have to if we're to help him."

"People can hold grudges for a while."

"Yeah but in time, they forget what the fight was about," Richard replied with a small smile. "Go talk to him before his father takes him home. I'll stall them a little if I can."
