"This one's for you Jessica!" Jack yelled drunk off his ass. Tour is finally over and our goodbye party has begun. Alex and I are going to visit his parents next week and the other guys are going to be with their girls; except Jack, Jack will be with his whiskey. Like right now.
"Jessie is a friend,
Yeah, I know she's been a good friend of mine
But lately something's changed
It ain't hard to define
Jessie's got himself a guy, but I want to make her mineAnd she's watching him with those eyes
And she's lovin' him with that body, I just know it!
And he's holding her in his arms late, late at nightYou know I wish that I had Jessie, girl
I wish that I had Jessie, girl
Where can I find a woman like that?I play along with the charade
That doesn't seem to be a reason to change
You know I feel so dirty when they start talking cute
I wanna tell her that I love her but the point is probably moot'Cause she's watching him with those eyes
And she's lovin' him with that body, I just know it!
And he's holding her in his arms late, late at nightYou know I wish that I had Jessie, girl
I wish that I had Jessie, girl
Where can I find a woman like that?Like Jessie, girl
I wish that I had Jessie, girl
Where can I find a woman...
Where can I find a woman like that? And I'm lookin' in the mirror all the time
Wonderin' what she don't see in me
I've been funny; I've been cool with the lines
Ain't that the way love's supposed to be?Tell me, why can't I find a woman like that?
You know I wish that I had Jessie, girl
I wish that I had Jessie, girl
I want Jessie, girl
Where can I find a woman like that?Like Jessie, girl
I wish that I had Jessie, girl
I want, I want Jessie, girl."Ah, nothing's better than one of Jack's renditions of famous 80s hits. Jack swayed over to me with his bottle in his hand and then slapped my ass.
"You've had way too much to drink mister!" I said, but I couldn't help but laugh.
"No, you haven't had enough to drink. One drink for Jessie, sir." He said to the bartender.
"Jack, what are we gonna do with you?" I asked.
"You see I've already thought about all of that stuff. See I was thinking about our future together as a family and the only solution is that you and Alex decide not to have kids and instead look after me. That way the band doesn't have to break up and I won't have to be alone."
"Oh Jack!" I coddled him into my chest and Alex walked over with raised eyebrows.
"What's going on over here?" He asked.
"Jack's afraid that the band will break up." I stated. Which made him cry harder into my chest.
"Jack, you know the band won't break up, not when there's Jalex." Alex said which made Jack's head shoot up.
"You mean you still believe in Jalex?" Jack asked.
Alex wiped the tear off of Jack's cheek. "Of course."
Then the two grown men embraced each other in a hug. I rolled my eyes and joined Zack at the table.
"Jess, you haven't had a single drop of alcohol all night." Zack stated.
"There's a reason for that." I said and took his plate of fries.
"Please don't say you're quitting drinking entirely, you're my drinking buddy!" He said with concern.
"Only for about eight months."
"You're pregnant?" He asked and I nodded. He reached across the table and kissed me on the forehead. "Congratulations! Does the daddy know?"
"Not yet, I have a little thing planned tonight. You don't think this will put too much pressure onto the relationship, do you?" I asked.
"You've been friends for more than half a decade, and loved each other for about the same amount of time. I think he'll be thrilled."
"Thrilled about what?" Alex asked, I turned to see he was right beside me.
"Many things. I'm kinda sleepy, do you think it'll be alright to call it a night?" I asked and he nodded.
"Zack, would you look after Jack? He's not stable right now." Alex asked.
"Of course." Zack replied and we left.
We got home fifteen minutes later and I told Alex to wait at the front door.
"Why do I have to cover my eyes?" He asked.
I had Googled different ways to drop the news, and one of those ways was to write "Loading" along with how far along you are percent wise. I'm six weeks along and pregnancy lasts forty weeks. I wrote "Loading 15%" on my stomach with a sharpie. Then I ran back to the door.
"You can stop covering your eyes now." I said softly.
He wrapped his arms around my waist and started kissing my neck which caused my whole body to relax in his arms. He picked me up and took me into our bedroom, throwing me onto the bed. He threw off his shirt and then went for mine. When he got it over my head, he stared at my stomach.
"15%, what does that mean?" He asked with a bit of a chuckle.
"It means that the baby is 15% done loading in my stomach." I said.
"You're pregnant?" He asked with excitement.
"Yeah, is that okay?"
"You're gonna find out just how okay that is. How long have you known?"
"Just a couple of days. I took at test this morning just to make sure."
"We're gonna have a baby together!"
