I sighed as I plopped myself down on my seat in the cafeteria. Gwen and Lucas both had confusion plastered all over their faces.
"The workload is way too much." I dragged my words out before filling my mouth with a spoonful of yogurt.
"That's high school for you." Gwen rolled her eyes.
I frantically scanned the cafeteria, my eyes searched for one person and fortunately didn't spot him. My heart was at ease until the doors swung wide open and he walked through. I sunk down in in my seat, hoping that he didn't see me but I doubt he would even bother to look. Lucas saw how my eyes were fixed on someone and turned around and saw that it was Hunter.
"How are you and Hunter?" He asked
I put a spoonful of yoghurt in my mouth before answering. "Well I'm great and Hunter is an ass."
Lucas chuckled before taking a sip of his energy drink which I hated. Those drinks were poisonous to your body but he of course didn't care, it gave him the energy he needed to survive this place.
"Have you guys spoken since?" Gwen asked, of course for her own agenda.
I shook my head. "Nope and I'm not planning to ever again." I saw how Gwen's face dropped and realized how disappointed she must have been. "I'm sorry but I can't help you with that anymore. Maybe it's for the best. Hunter is a jerk and I wouldn't want you getting hurt."
"Maybe you're right..." Gwen trailed off when we all turned around to Hunter's table. My eyes shot wide open in shock when I saw Morgan smack Hunter. Her hand hit his face so hard that people in China probably heard it. Hunter's eyes were blazing with fire as he glared at her. Jade and Brooklyn stood looking at them both bewildered while Ethan and Tyler both gasped.
"Fuck you!" Hunter screamed at Morgan as she stormed out of the cafeteria. The entire cafeteria's eyes were focused on Hunter after Morgan left. Jade and Brooklyn scurried after Morgan, probably to see if she was okay. Hunter began cursing and suddenly kicked his chair over.
"Calm down." The guy sitting at the table next to him said. He was pale as snow with curly blonde hair. He had this smile laced with danger and rebellion.
"You don't fucking tell me what to do." Hunter growled and got up in the guy's face. The guy jumped up and shoved his chest against Hunter's.
"I'll tell you what I want!" The guy yelled but just before Hunter could do or say anything, Ethan and Tyler pulled him back. My skin had goosebumps as the intensity grew. I felt bad because I was hoping that Hunter got beaten up but I doubt that would even happen. Hunter had a big mouth but I assume that he probably can fight. Hunter pulled himself out of Tyler's grip and walked away. His jaw was clenched as he frustratedly brushed his fingers through his hair. By the looks of it Hunter was extremely pissed.
"What was that?" I gasped.Lucas had his hand over his mouth as his eyes were wide. "Oh my word. That was insane." He chuckled.
"I wonder what happened between Morgan and Hunter that she slapped the living daylight out of him." Gwen added into the conversation. I shook my head because I also wanted to know. I'm just grateful that the teachers didn't storm in here better yet the security guards. My eyes fell to the guy that Hunter nearly attacked and saw how he was laughing with his friends. I hadn't noticed him before and was curious.
"Guys who's that boy that Hunter yelled at?" I asked
Lucas turned around and saw who I was talking about. "Oh... that's Michael Firth. He is Hunter's sworn enemy by the way they two bicker."
