I ran downstairs when I heard the bell ring. My parents were sitting on the sofa watching a rom com and I did not want them to answer the door and see Hunter. My dad was hell bent on me no longer dating which was infuriating. I wanted to answer the door to avoid any questions or assumptions.

"Who's that?" My mom asked

"Gwen." I lied as I grabbed my bag from the counter.

"Where you going?" My dad asked as I  walked to the front door. I froze for a moment to think of a plausible lie.

"Diner." I said casually and waved at them. I opened the door slightly and saw Hunter's boyish grin. I quickly closed the door behind me and let out a sigh of relief.

"Hey" He smiled and I greeted back.

"Should I come in and greet your par-"

"No!" I cut him off and he raised his eyebrow brow at me. "Let's just go" I smiled

"Okay..." He dragged the word out. Hunter's eyes took a double take at my dress. I waited for him to acknowledge my appearance but all he did was clench his jaw.

"You look nice." I stated, in hope that he would return the compliment. However he did look nice. He had this grey hoodie on with a light denim skinny jeans. It was simple yet he made it look like the fucking oscars.

"Thanks, you look... different." He sounded unsure of his choice of wording.

Different? What the actual fuck? I dressed up for you Hunter and that's all you can say? I frowned and my eyes fell to the floor. Hunter's eyes shot wide open when he saw how disappointed I was. He put his two fingers under my chin and lifted my face up till I looked at him. His eyes glistened with sadness and I gazed into them. "Emma, it's not a bad thing. You just look different but you're still beautiful." His voice was low and comforting. I flushed at his intense look while still touching me. I nodded at him and grinned ear to ear.

"Thanks Hunter." I said softly. Hunter winked and we walked to his car.

The drive was a little awkward but I was just thankful that music was playing and there wasn't complete silence. His taste in music was just as good as his taste in cars. He was playing Kendrick's new album. I was staring out of the window till one of my favourite songs, Humble came on. I started rapping along to the words and saw Hunter grinning at me.

"What?" I squealed.

"Uh nothing... just never knew you were a Kendrick fan."

"Well Hunter there's a lot you don't know about me."

"Well I've got time." He smirked and I felt my cheeks redden at how smooth he was. A huge grin formed when Hunter started rapping along. Surprisingly unlike me, he was actually good at it. What couldn't this boy do?

"Woah woah, you rap?" I giggled

Hunter shrugged his shoulders. "Occasionally."

"What else can you do?"

Hunter glanced at me and smirked. "You... that's if you let me."

I rolled my eyes at him and shook my head. "Never gonna happen." Actually my inner hoe really wants to. REALLY WANTS TO. Damn you inner hoe!

"I'm quite persuasive."

"I'm quite persistent."

"Oh Emma, I love a challenge." Hunter winked flirtatious and it sent shivers down my spine. I ignored his comment and turned the stereo louder. I started rapping to Kendrick's song again and Hunter joined me. I threw my hands in the air and we were jamming as we drove which was the best night of my life, way better than Justin Bieber's concert.
