Hunter's POV
After a few days of thinking about the fight I had with Morgan, guilt crept in. I realized that I might have overreacted and felt like a complete jerk. I'm not sure what happened between her and Danny but I needed answers. The money was a lot but I knew how Danny worked and if he didn't receive it, there was a higher price to pay. I decided to pay him a visit and try to negotiate ways to pay it off but if that didn't work then I had only one option left which was I was hoping not to choose.
"Danny!" I yelled as I banged on his door. Just as I was about to bang again, he opened the door. He was in his sweats and rubbed his eyes. He squinted at me before yawning. The smell of alcohol hit me.
"Hunter? What you doing here so early?" His voice was rasp from waking up.
"It's like three in the afternoon dude." I said before I bumped him as I stepped into his apartment. "We need to talk."
"Welcome." He said sarcastically and shut the door behind him.
His apartment had an off smell of sour milk that made me cringe. It was messy with clothes lying all over the place. Even tho it looked like a pigsty, it was huge and expensive after all, Danny makes tons of money being a drug dealer.
"How can I help you? You need molly, cocaine? Oxy?" He asked and leaned against the table.
"I'm here on behalf of Morgan."
A smirk was plastered on his face as soon as he heard her name which only made me angrier. "Ah, the lovely Morgan."
I glared at him, but he wouldn't budge and take off that dreadful smirk. "Look, can we come to some sort of agreement on how she can pay it off maybe since she doesn't have the money now."
"You want me to extend the deadline?" He cocked his head to one side and broke out in laughter. He shook his head and rubbed his jaw as he appeared to be amused. "I gave her enough time. I have debt to pay and I need my cash. Besides I was kind enough to give her what she wanted upfront since she didn't have the money that time as well."
"Maybe if you did better business we wouldn't be in this mess."
"Well maybe you should just mind your damn business." He said harshly and I clenched my jaw, to stop me from saying something I might regret. "Tell her she better pay up by tonight or I'll do what I need to do."
"Fine."
"Or she could come over and work her debt off, if you know what I mean." Danny smirked which only aggravated me. I shoved him against the wall and my fists clenched his white t-shirt. He had an amused look and I felt like smacking it the fuck off. He didn't fight back, indicating that he still had a hangover from last night I suppose.
"Don't you fucking dare!" I yelled at him.
Danny held his hands up defensively. "Fine I won't." Her laughed. I slowly let him out of my grip and eased. Danny straightened himself before brushing his fingers through his hair and shaking his head as he ogles me. "I don't get you Hunter. You treat her like shit but here you are defending her?"
I clenched my jaw just hearing what he said. Maybe I didn't want to hear what he said because I felt anger creep inside of me. I don't know either I guess. I might not be fifty shades of fucked up but I'm definitely fifty miles of dick. I got issues.
