Gwen, Lucas and I sat in the cafeteria arguing about who's the ultimate superhero. Lucas said Superman, Gwen said Wonder Woman and I was hell bent on Professor X since he could use his mind to control you. It went on for ages.
"Professor X is amazing but before he could even use his mind to control Superman, Superman already used his eye lasers on him!" Lucas explained.
I shook my head, not agreeing with a word he said. "No ways, entering a mind takes like 000.1 seconds. It's extremely quick because Professor X is a pro at it." I told him
"They need to make a cross over movie with all of them in, then we'll see." Gwen laughed.
I was walking in the hallway when I saw Hunter standing by his locker. Luckily he was with no one because I urgently needed to speak to him about the project. I scurried over to him. "Hunter, we need to speak about the project."
"Hello to you to Emma." He said sarcastically before slamming his locker shut.
"Fine hello." I winced, then continued. "How are we going to do this? Work on the project in the library? Your house?"
"I don't really do projects."
"What?"
"Yeah, I always have understanding partners." He frowned, trying to manipulate me.
I laughed at his failed attempt. "That's funny! Too bad your stuck with me and it's fifty fifty."
"I'm busy today" He said
I rolled my eyes at him. "Fine then tomorrow in the free period?"
He didn't say anything, instead was busy contemplating whether he wanted to, but before he could say anything Morgan came. I've never spoken to her before or even been in her presence. I felt my heart beat rate increasing and my nerves rattled. She made no eye contact with me, her eyes were solely focused on Hunter who stood tight lipped looking at her.
"Who's that?" She said disgustedly, referring to me.
My eyes fell to the ground when I heard it. It wasn't what she said that hurt me, but the way she said it. She made me feel like a nothing in two seconds.
"That is Emma." Hunter groaned at her.
Morgan eyes drifted at me and scanned me from top to bottom before she said, "Oh"
I felt awkward standing here. "I'll go" I said softly.
"Yeah you should." Morgan barked
Hunter gritted his teeth before saying, "Wait!"
Morgan rolled her eyes at me when I stayed.
"Stop being a bitch." Hunter defended me
She gasped at this. "I didn't even say anything."
"You didn't have to." Hunter eyed her.
Morgan broke out in a smile. "So my aura is even a bitch?"
"Pretty much"
"Anyway, you still coming to me after school?" She asked as she put her hands on his chest.
Hunter hesitated to answer but the way he just said "Um..." then he continued, "Actually I have plans already."
"What?" She beamed at him and released her hands.
"I have to work on my Business project with Emma." He said, pointing to me.
I widened my eyes in surprise since he told me that he was busy today like two seconds ago.
