Chapter 7
After Jack dropped me off, I spent my whole shift in a mood. I couldn't wrap my head around what was happening to me. Werewolves and supernatural beings, me being one of those supernatural creatures.
After my shift I waited all of thirty seconds before Jack came to a halt in front of the restaurant. I guess I wasn't being left alone at all. I was starting to think all wolves were super control freaks along with the abundance of fur.
I got into the car and Jack smiled at me.
"What?" I asked grumpily.
"Just glad you know everything now."
"I'm not." I said. Jack's smile dissapeared.
"So to your grandmother's?" He asked.
"Yeah, she lives in Trinity, we can make it in fifteen."
"Gotcha." Jack replied.
We drove in silence so I let my mind wander. I didn't think there was anything supernatural about me, I never showed any signs of if at least. But Jack had said I couldn't be Darren's mate unless I had some kind of supernatural blood. This was just all too much. I sighed and Jack opened his mouth to speak but his phone ringing interrupted.
"Hello, Darren."
I knew Jack specified for my benefit but I just rolled my eyes.
"No we are going to her grandmother's house in Trinity."
I heard the inaudible voice get louder.
"Well why don't you tell her that? Here ya go.."
Jack tried to hand the phone to me but I just looked at it in disgust. He jerked it rudely as in saying 'take the damn phone'. So with another eye roll I took the damn phone.
"What?" I snapped.
"You will come home now." Darren growled.
"Umm no. I'm going to ask my grandmother a few things. Oh and by the way, you aren't my boss so quit barking orders, Fido." HA! Take that Mr. Alpha.
"I am your mate and you will do as I say!" He yelled. I heard something crash in the background.
"Woof." I said and hung up. I rolled down the window and tossed the phone out of it.
"What the fuck Grace?!" Jack screamed.
"He needs to learn a lesson." I replied.
"He isn't a damn puppy!"
"Isn't he though?" I smirked because I knew I had just won.
I couldn't wait to see my grandmother so I could get back so I could bask in Darren's defeat. I knew I was being unusually unreasonable but I do not like being told what to do. Wolves seemed to be the bossiest bunch I have ever been around and Darren thinks he can just tell me what to do all the time. He was going to learn one way or the other, I will not be tamed.
