Chapter 7

"Rhoda did you remember her medicine?" Mrs. Asamoah asked on remembering.

Rhoda nodded from the front seat, "Yes mom, that's why we delayed. Apparently she doesn't like to take drugs"

She felt Mrs. Asamoah gaze on her, "I couldn't tell. But dear I hope you know it is for your good. You need to take them if you want to feel better soon"
That was something she equally wanted. Since she'd noticed that when she delayed taking her drugs, those pounding headaches returned.

She nodded, "I will"

"I also don't like medicine" Doreen whispered loudly.

"Yes baby, mummy knows that. That's why I make you eat your veggies" Rhoda turned around in her seat.

A silly grin appeared on Doreen's face.

The drive lasted for about ten minutes and soon they parked in front of a grey building. People were entering whilst others stood outside conversing.

"Have you ever been in a church before?" Mrs. Asamoah asked once they got down as Daniel drove the car to the back of the church to park it.

"I'd like to think so" she said before actually realizing what she said. She did really hope she had been there before as she felt at home. There was a peace lurking in her heart and she just knew she was home.

A man dressed in white long sleeved shirt tucked into black trousers and a purple tie to match approached them with a smile.
"Good morning Mrs. Asamoah and family. It's good to see you all"

"Hello Pastor Aaron" Doreen waved.

Pastor Aaron smiled, "Hello Doreen, how are you doing?"

"I'm fine, thank you"

"My, she's a lady"

"Good morning Pastor Aaron. Its good to see you too" Mrs. Asamoah finally spoke.

Pastor Aaron turned his attention to her, "I see you came with someone"

He stretched his hand for a shake, "Hi I'm Pastor Aaron and you are?"

She slowly took the offered hand and opened her mouth to speak but Doreen beat her to it.

"Her name is Sophia"

"Nice to meet you Sophia"
Rhoda cut in, "Doreen you are going to be late for class. Hurry on" she waited till Doreen was out of hearing before continuing. "Actually her name is not Sophia and we don't know her real name"

He looked from her to Rhoda "Oh really, how?"

"It's a long story but to cut it short. She's lost her memory"
He looked apologetic, "I'm sorry about that"

"It's okay, you can call me Sophia" she shrugged, eyes moving downwards noticing he was still holding her hand. He on noticing it too quickly released her hand.

Rhoda and Mrs. Asamoah looked at her, "Are you sure about that?" Mrs. Asamoah asked finally.
She shrugged again, "Doreen chose it. And I kind of like it though. Now you won't have any problem calling me"

Pastor Aaron spoke up, "Sophia it is then. I hope you enjoy today's service"

Daniel walked back to the front of the building, just as service was about starting. He entered scanning the already full chapel, looking for his family. Being a small town church everyone knew everyone. He waved to a few people before locating them in the third row from the first seat.
