"Do you know you're broken?"

I pulled up to the old victorian house , excited to see my new acquisition. It was a little rundown, slightly broken but still amazing. I couldn't wait to fix it up. What stories would it tell me.
"Hello, there ," I called to the house, my short legs picking over the underbrush " How are you?" The wind whistled through the giant oaks that were around the house, and the house creaked slightly.
"Do you know you're broken," I asked the house as I climbed up the huge steps? I almost fell down , but was able to steady myself by putting my hands on the steps. The house creaked again, looking as if it was blowing in the wind just like the trees.
"Don't worry I'm going to help fix you," I said as I took the keys from my pocket and opened the front door and took a step inside.

It was three weeks before the police found him . His car was parked on the outskirts of the woods. The body was found in the woods, broken. It looked like he climbed a massive oak tree and fell. His tools and wooden planks laid scattered all around him .
The police investigated and found out the man escaped from an asylum . He used to buy houses and fix them up to sell again until an accident , which caused brain damage.
But if you were to go into the woods during the early morning hours, you could still hear the banging of a hammer . The fix-it man doing what he loves for all eternity.
