"I could walk out of here anytime but the cage was comfortable. Familiar."
The scientist looked at the scared and scarred young child. He was a teenager but when he looked at him his green eyes looked haunted.
"hey kid," Gen said calmly coming up to the cage, " how long have you been here. "
"I could walk out of here anytime but the cage was comfortable. Familiar," the boy said with a horse voice.
"Are you sure you don't want to come out," Gen said quietly.
"Not right now, " he said holding on the bars of his cage.
"Okay ill stay right here," Gen said leaning against a table. After a couple of hours, the boy crawled out of his cage and stood up shakily. Gen got up slowly and came towards the boy slowly.
Eventually the boy let Gen help him walk and they let the hell hole forever.
Gen raised the boy as her own and they became a family together.
