"Come on, tell some stories ate Charlotte." Sabi nya.

"Fine fine." Sabi ko naman.

"How about some fantasy stories? You know, fictionals?" I suggested.

"No, I want yours." Sabi nya.

"What if, I don't have anything to share?" I asked.

He chuckled.

"You're living. It means, if you're living, the story of your life is still going on." Logan said.

I'm amused. His so matured but he looks innocent.

I wonder if Darwin trained him to be one. I wsh he don't have attitudes like his older brother.

"I'm 19 yeard old. Galing ako sa Vermont. Hmm, my achievements? Maybe, I am now an independent person." Sabi ko.

"How about your parents?" Tanong nya.

"My dad is dead and my mom, she left me when I was still young. Since then, I became independent." Sabi ko.
"Do you have any sister or brother?" He asked.

I immediately shrugged.

"Do you want to hear my story?" He offered.

"Sure." Sabi ko naman.

"You know, I'm 8 years old but I'm not as strong as you. I'm not as independent as you. I wish I have brother and sister." He said with a sad curve on his lips.

"Wait what? Claudine's there as well as Darwin." Sabi ko.

"Yah. But they don't treat me as a brother. I used to go and lock myself inside my room. No playmates, No one to talk to. My parents are staying in our second house because of business but they still visit us." Sabi nya.

"Can you be my ate for a while?" Sabi nya.

His grins are so fascinating. His eyes, it looks like Darwin's. And his lips, it looks like Claudine's.

"Sure." I said.

Dinamba nya naman ako ng yakap at nagpasalamat.

"Do you want to eat?" Tanong nya.

"I have foods here." Sabi ko.

"Cook, come on cook some foods. I want some foods." Sabi nya.

"Me? I'm gonna cook?" Tanong ko.

He nodded and grinned.

"Okay. Let's go down?" Tanong ko.

Hinila nya agad ang wrist ko at nagsimulang maglakbay pababa ng hagdanan.

Tinitigan ko lang sya. Naaawa ako sa kanya.

Ang bata nya pa pero yung mga pangangailangan nya, hindi naibibigay.

Nakarating kami sa kitchen at nakita ko naman syang sumampa at umupo malapit sa labatory.

"What do you want?" Tanong ko.

"Anything. Please join me while eating later." Sabi nya.

I nodded while putting water inside the cooker.

"You know Kuya Darwin right?" Tanong nya.

Nagpanting ang tenga ko sa pangalan nyang iyon. Naiinis ako tuwing naririnig ko ang name nya pero dahil bata ang kausap ko, hahayaan ko lang.

"Yes." Sabi ko.

"His scary." Sabi nya.

Napaharap naman ako sa kanya.
