The following months passed by quickly. Me and Jake had managed to get all of our furniture into mine and Lani's new home. She was disappointed that she couldn't paint the rooms, but she accepted that she could do our new babies room herself.

She's getting bigger and she's been tired a bit more, well she's five months now so that’s to be expected. We get to go to a scan in a few days to find out the sex of the baby and we're excited. Lani will get to pick the color of the babies room, which I know she can’t wait to paint, along with the twins rooms.

The twins haven’t "talked" since the first times that they did. The twins have gotten bigger and Lani cried the other day when they wouldn’t fit into their old clothes. We had went out right away and bought some new ones, along with a tub to put the clothes that don’t fit them in. She wants to keep them for many different reasons.

"Lani, we have to go!" I called up the stairs, waiting for her to waddle down the hallway. I grinned when she appeared at the top of the steps. "Are you ready?"

"Owen can you help me down the stairs?" she asks.

"Of course." I walked up the steps and wrapped my arm around her waist before carefully walking us down the steps. "You looking forward to this?" I asked her.

She smiles. "Yes, we don’t have to go to school after, do we?" We started school and let’s just say, some were very, well shocked.

"No. Your mum phoned and told them we were going to the doctors."

"Okay. That's good." She hugged me the best she could and sighed. "People still can't believe it," she murmured.

"I know Lani-bear, but we're happy and that’s all that matters."

I felt her nod. "I know. We are happy," she said, trying to tiptoe. I chuckled and bent down so she could kiss me. "Come on, don't want to keep the doctor waiting like last time." She pulls me with her out to the car. We drive to the doctors and when we get there she can’t wait to find out.

"You would be skipping right now if you could, wouldn't you?" I asked her, chuckling at her eagerness.

"Of course," she said simply, grinning at the lady behind the counter. "Hi, we're here to see Doctor Andrews."

"She'll be with you in a moment."

Lani nodded and sat down on the chair. "Keep still, Lani-bear," I said, putting my arm on her shoulders to stop her from bouncing. She grinned up at me and opened her mouth to respond but Dr. Andrews called her name.

"Hello, again, Lani."

"Hi." Lani smiles. She stands up and pulls me with her.

We settle down in the doctor’s office and wait for her to get Lani ready for the scan. "Okay, you know it's cold," Dr. Andrews said, smiling at Lani. "And there's your little baby," she told us, turning the screen so we could see.

Lani starts crying, but she's smiling. "Owen," she looks up at me.

I kissed her softly. "I know, baby." I ran my fingers through my hair and looked at the doctor. "Can we know whether it's a boy or girl?" I asked her.

Dr. Andrews smiles. "Of course." she says. "Let’s just see if we can find out today."

Lani gripped my hand as the doctor moved the scanner around. "Looks like you're having..." Lani's grip tightened as she waited. "A baby girl. Congratulations." Lani beams and looks up at me. The doctor wipes the stuff off her belly and I help Lani up.

Lani hugged me. "A baby girl," she whispered, kissing my neck softly.

I hold her tight. "Let’s go get the twins from your parents." I murmur.
