Taking a deep breath, I knock on Lani's door. She opens it and looks up at me. "Yes Owen?"
With one quick look over my shoulder to see that Sam and Jake was gone, I looked at Lani before smiling softly and walking towards her. "W-what are you doing?" she asked, looking up at me. I wrap my arms around her waist, pulling her completely against me. "W-what-?" I don't let her finish, I bend my head and kiss her softly.
After a few minutes her arms wrap around my neck and she starts kissing me back. I sighed silently as I pulled her closer to me and ran my thumb along her cheek. I start to deepen the kiss.
Lani froze against me before pushing me away. "No, no," she shook her quickly. "I'm not helping you cheat again, Owen!"
"Lani-bear I'm not cheating on anyone."
Her head froze. "What? What about that girl?"
"She and I aren’t together anymore. We weren’t really even a couple at all."
Lani looked up at me and frowned. "What do you mean?"
"Lani, she and I aren’t together."
I saw something flash in her eyes before she looked down. "So you decided to come to me because she broke up with you?"
"Lani-bear, I've always wanted you and just you." I tell her. "Hell she pushed me, literally, all the way here until I knocked on your door."
"She made you come here?" she asked quietly, looking up at me through her lashes. I nodded my head. Lani looked down at her clasped hands and sighed. "I don't know what to say."
I bury my head in the crook of her neck. I felt her take a deep breath as she rested her head against my shoulder and wrapped her arms around me. She holds onto me tight. "I think we should talk," I murmured softly, kissing her shoulder then her neck.
She nods. "Mum, I'm going to Owen's to talk!"
There was a muffled reply and I led her outside. My hand brushed hers repeatedly. Finally, when I cant take it anymore, I lace our fingers together. Lani squeezed my hand as she looked down at the pavement. I kiss her cheek and soon we reach my house. Lani looked up. "Haven't been here in a while," she muttered, following behind me to my room. I tug her over to the bed and make her sit next to me. I held my hand over her fidgeting one and smiled at her.
"Lani, we need to talk."
"I've heard that line enough to last me a lifetime," she muttered before looking up at me. "Okay. Let's talk."
"What do you want?" I ask her.
"What do I want?" she mimicked, cocking her head to the side. "What do you mean?"
"What do you want in your life?" She blinked and furrowed her eyebrows. "Lani-bear?"
"I don't know, honestly," she said, flopping back on my bed. I nod. She looked up at me. "What about you?" she asked, leaning on her arm and smiling at me.
"I think you know what I want."
"I would prefer if you tell me," she said, moving closer to me and crossing her legs.
"You Lani-bear. I want you." I saw her smile before she was kissing me, pushing me back gently. I kiss her back and feel her crawl on top of me. I groaned as I pulled her closer to me. I had missed her, a lot. She starts kissing me - hard.
She cursed under her breath before she pulled back. "Sorry. Kinda lost in the moment there. I shouldn't have..." I pull her back to me and kiss her. She sighed and wrapped her legs around me. I smile against her lips. I ran my finger tips gently down her neck and smiled as she shuddered. I deepen the kiss as much as I can. Her hands tugged through my hair. "Maybe we should stop," she muttered, pulling back slightly. "I mean.. we've only just started talking again and..." I nod and peck her lips. She sighed and sat back. "Sorry," she said quietly, looking down.
