Is to hold her when I'm not around

They sat there staring at each other for a few minutes, both waiting for the other one to talk first. Right as Natalie opened her mouth to say something, she was interrupted by the waiter bringing them their food and as quickly as their food was delivered, she had lost her nerve to tell him about her, no...THEIR daughter. Instead she asked about the band and even though Brian initially didn't want to talk about Jimmy, he found himself telling her about that god awful day and how they were coping since the death of their best friend/drummer.

Brian was amazed at himself and at the ease he felt with sharing the hardest, most personal experience he had in his life but the more he talked, the more he felt a weight lifted off his shoulder and truth be told he kind of liked it. He liked how she made him feel and for the first time since the day started he didn't think about getting her in bed with him. What the hell was happening to him?! "So yea, we're kind of in limbo right now" he stated softly, taking a healthy swig of the whiskey before eating more of his dinner. Natalie reached across the table and took hold of his hand again, squeezing it lightly as she gave him a small, reassuring smile. "I totally understand how you feel...but I hope you guys carry on. I would love to see you guys in concert, from the audience's perspective this time" she chuckled.

Brian felt his playboy persona came back and shot her a long, slow smirk. "Oh yea? I think I could manage to wrangle up some tickets for you although I have to say I liked having you on the stage personally. I loved playing that song just because you girls were out there." Natalie blushed but flirted right back at him "That was definitely a great time for me as well. It was such a rush to be up there with you guys!" Brian chuckled softly "I can think of another time that was more of a rush than that though...can't you?" Natalie batted her eyes at him, playing every bit the doe-y eyed fan girl, knowing damn well it would stroke his ego and get him more than agreeable to follow her back to the hotel. "We did have some pretty good times didn't we?" she heard herself softening her tone as she said that, not really meaning to.

Brian and Natalie sat there staring at each other for a few moments before he gave in and leaned over the table, trailing his finger along her jawline until she leaned in the rest of the way and kissed him slowly. Remembering that they were out in public she pulled back slowly, her lips tingling and her nerves on high alert. "I'm going to the rest room real quick, I would like to invite you back to our room for a few drinks. Think about it while I'm gone." Natalie got up and made sure to take her time walking to the bathroom, knowing and feeling his eyes on her backside as she walked away. Brian watched her walk away, feeling his nerves snap and jump as he laid his card down to pay the bill. She had just invited him back to her room and he couldn't help but think that luck was on his side, there was no way in hell he was telling her 'thanks but maybe some other time.'

As soon as Natalie entered the bathroom she pulled her cell phone from her purse and called Ava, hoping to god that she answered the phone. "Come on Ava pick up" she muttered, pacing the floor as the ringing continued. After the fifth ring she finally answered, breathless and laughing. "Nice to see someone is enjoying herself" Natalie teased, smiling a little at Ava's chipper voice. "How's it going? Did you tell him about Bryleigh?" Natalie could hear her daughter giggling in the background and felt her heart tighten at her daughter's obvious delight. "Not yet...actually, I was going to invite him back to the room and introduce him to her there. Could you and Matt maybe..." Ava laughed softly "Say no more, we'll go for a walk or something so you three can have some privacy...but Nat, do you think that's a good idea? Throwing all that at him like that? He probably thinks he's gonna get lucky or something." Natalie sighed and closed her eyes, not sure of anything anymore to be honest. "I don't know Ava...I'm sure he's gonna get bent out of shape for being led on but I thought maybe if he saw her face to face he would be more accepting of the idea. You always said he was her spitting image..."
