Natalie felt so many emotions after Brian walked out the door that she didn't know which one to hold onto and which one to let go but right now all that concerned her was calming her daughter down who was seemingly in hysterics from Brian not being around. "This is ridiculous" Natalie muttered softly as she rubbed her daughters back, trying desperately to soothe her before someone in the hotel called and complained. "Baby doll...it's okay...mommy has you." But Natalie's soothing words and offered cup of milk were of no use, Bryleigh cried herself into an exhausted sleep, her head on Natalie's shoulder.

Just as Natalie was laying Bryleigh down on her bed, she heard the door to the room open and Ava's voice come through. "Nat? Are you in here?" followed shortly by a man's voice. The words were inaudible but Natalie could tell it was Matt talking to Ava. She sighed softly, checked her daughter one last time and walked out into the living room area of their suite. Sure enough, Matt was standing next to Ava with a blank look on his face, as if he were trying to keep out of the conversation altogether. "Hi Matt" she mumbled tiredly, trying her best to give him a convincing smile but it either wasn't convincing or Matt could read between the lines...probably both. "Hey" he muttered, clearly uncomfortable with the growing silence in the room. He turned to Ava, talking softly to her but not quietly enough that Natalie could miss the conversation they had between them. She heard Matt tell Ava he had had a great night catching up and that he hoped to see her again before we left...oh and that he was going to talk to Brian. At Brian's name she spoke up "That's really noble of you Matt but don't bother. He clearly doesn't give a shit so I'm not even going to bother him anymore. I'll find the answers somewhere else."

Natalie didn't wait for a response from Matt, she just got up and walked back into the bedroom area and changed into her pajamas. Natalie had every intentions of going to bed before Ava came back in the room but she came walking in just as she finished brushing her teeth. "You didn't have to cut your night short on my account" Natalie sighed, watching Ava peek on her daughter before coming over and hugging her tight. "What happened?" she asked softly after a few minutes. Natalie didn't want to cry again tonight but she could feel the tears welling up in her eyes as she recounted her episode with Brian as she had tried to gently break it to him that he was Bryleigh's father. "How can he be so blatantly stupid?!" Ava hissed quietly, making sure to keep her voice down so Bryleigh didn't wake up. "I mean you seriously would have to be blind to not see the resemblance!" Natalie sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose "I know Ava, trust me I know and I tried to point that out to him but it's like the reality of everything just hit him and instead of being scared he just turned into this huge prick. I'm better off not having him around anyways."

Ava sat silent for a few minutes, willing her temper to simmer down before she spoke again. "He doesn't have to be in your life but dammit! He needs to understand the seriousness of this before something bad happens!" Natalie just shook her head and looked away "Why should he care? He doesn't think she's his anyways." Ava did a slow burn, keeping voice low but angrier than a wet hen "Oh he's gonna care before I get through with him!" Natalie shot Ava a worried look as she shook her head "No Ava...just let him be. I don't want to start something with him. He obviously cares about one person and one person only and that's himself. I'm sure there's other donors out there that I can find easily enough." Ava scowled at Natalie, crossing her arms in defiance. "You heard what the doctor said as well as I did...her best hope of beating this is if her father matches her! He needs to grow the fuck up!" Bryleigh stirred on the bed, whining in her sleep which caused both girls to sit in silence till she calmed back down into a deep sleep. "I can't make someone who's a virtual stranger grow up Ava! I just can't!"

Ava looked at Natalie for a minute, trying to decide if she was going to be mad at her but decided it wouldn't matter either way so she fessed up. "You may not be able to but Matt sure can." Natalie stared at Ava like a deer in the headlights, her mouth dropping open slightly before she managed to find her words again. "Did you tell Matt? Why Ava? Why did you tell him?" Ava shook her head quickly "No Nat I didn't tell him...he actually figured it out on his own. We were talking about when we were on tour with them back in 2008 while Bryleigh was playing with her blocks. She turned and looked at Matt and it was like someone poked him with a needle. He just blurted it out 'that's Brian's kid!' And I just couldn't lie to him Nat...not with the evidence smiling happily at him."

Natalie sighed and leaned her head back, this trip was just a huge mistake she thought. "Let me guess...does he think I'm after Brian's money too?" "What? No! Not even! Natalie he asked why after almost 2 years you just now surfaced...so I told him. I also told him that you were worried that Brian would do exactly what you said he did tonight and Matt said not to worry because if he did that then he was going to straighten his ass around." Natalie tried to smile at the thought of Matt coming to her daughter's defense but right now she was just so tired and worn down that she couldn't manage any positivity for tonight. "I just want to go home Ava...I need to take Bryleigh back home." And with that, Natalie hugged her friend good night and climbed into the bed next to her daughter, her heart breaking over the thought of having to find another donor.
