My bottom lip stuck out as I watched the lacrosse team slam Stiles into the lockers. He stood there and slid down the wall, putting his head in his hands.

I walk over to him and sit, our shoulders touching. He looks over at me, surprised.

"I'm sorry." I say.

"For what?" He asks.

"For what they do to you. You don't deserve to be treated like that." I answer.

"Why do you care?" He mutters.

"I know we never talk much but I know Scott and he talks about you all the time. Must be nice to have a best friend."

He looks at me, shocked. "You don't have a best friend? Every body likes you!"

"Doesn't mean anyone has ever stuck with me when I needed them the most." As if he knew I was talking about Lydia, he takes my hand.

"Well, now you do." He smiles lightly and I return it.

It was day 2 of watching Stiles get shoved into the lockers and I've finally had enough. I strut after Greenburg. "Maybe if you guys used those skills on the field instead of on Stiles, you would actually win." The guys grunted and walked away.

"Y/n." I turn to look at Stiles. "Thank you. I really appreciate it but I'm also on the team."

"But you never play."

He shrugs. "True. Want to head to lunch?." I shrug back. "Sure."
