Stiles burst into my room, explaining that the pack tricked Liam into going to Lydia's lake house since it's his first full moon.
I get off my bed, grabbing a jacket and a pair of shoes as soon as he finishes.
"Umm... what are you doing?" Stiles asks.
I shrug. "I'm coming with you."
"W-what?" Stiles throws his arms out. I turn and start heading down the hall. "No you're not."
"You can't stop me."
I hear him sigh loudly in annoyance. "Please, just stay here."
I stop abruptly and he runs into my back. I turn around to face him, he steps back. "Stiles. I know how to deal with new werewolves. You forget that I was around when Scott became one? Or Isaac?" He rolls his eyes. "Plus, I'm more patient than you, I'm less likely to trigger the poor kid."
I start walking again and I feel him grab my arm.
"I can't let you go." He says, a pleading look in his eyes.
I scoff and yank my arm out of his grasp. "And why not?"
"Because I can't let you get hurt!" He finally breaks out and I flinch. "Not again, y/n. I don't know what I'd do without you if something does go wrong this time." I watch as tears glisten in his eyes.
I sigh. "Nothing will." I take his hands. "I have Scott to protect me. And you." A small smile makes his way onto his lips. "I know it's scary and sometimes I think you forget that you're only human, too. We can't give into the fear, Stiles. We have to fight it."
Stiles closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. "You're right." He opens his eyes and looks into mine. "I love you."
I smile. "I love you, too. Now, let's go." I drag Stiles out the door.
