"Hello?" I answer my phone after a couple violent rings.

"Y/n! Thank God you finally answered!" Lydia yells through the phone.

"I'm sorry. I'm studying-"

"Stiles is having a panic attack." My heart skips a beat. He hasn't had one in years. "What do I do??"

My mind starts going back to the times when he used to get them all the time when his mom passed. "Tell him to hold his breath." I hear sound on the other end.

"He can't. Oh my gosh. Y/n, I'm kind of freaking out!"

"Kiss him."

"What? I can't just kiss him-"

"Do it, Lydia." I sigh and hang up. He's had a crush on her for the longest time. He'll hold his breath.

"Y/n!" I hear from down the hall and recognize the voice as Stiles. I sigh and shut my locker. He comes running up to me.

"Lydia told me-" He says in between breaths. "-that you told her to kiss me."

"Yeah."

He lets out a huge breath. "Why?"

"Because you weren't holding your breath. I knew that if she kissed you, you would." I shrug.

"Oh. Well, that's smart." I start walking away. "Wait, why would you think that?"

I turn around. "Because you liked her since 'the freaking third grade'?" I use finger quotes. "I see how you look at her, Stiles. I'm not stupid." (I may be an idiot, but I'm not stupid hehe). I turn back around and head to class.

"Y/n. I'm really sorry." Lydia tries apologizing to me.

"Lydia." I give a small smile. "It's fine. You stopped his panic attack."

"But I feel bad-"

"Why? I told you to kiss him."

"Because I know you like him." She blurts out.
I freeze and look over at her. Before I can say anything, she interrupts. "Don't deny it."

I sigh. "Please don't tell anyone. Especially him."

"Why not? He likes you too."

I slightly laugh. "Yeah, okay." I say sarcastically.

"I'm not kidding! I have this weird thing where I can tell if someone likes me. And not in a weird 'I want you in my bed' kind of way." She says matter-of-factly. "And he stopped liking me a long time ago."

"Yeah right." I snort. "Look at you. You're the total package."

"He doesn't like me, y/n." I look at her and see how serious she is. "Just talk to him. You'll see."

•••

"Hey, Stiles." He turns and says hi back. "I'm sorry about earlier. Today isn't my day. I woke up and found out my brother drank all the milk. I had to have a cheese stick for breakfast."

"It's okay. I get it." He smiles. "Oh, by the way, she's not the one I like anymore."

I nod awkwardly. "Yeah, she kind of told me that."

"She did?" I nod again. "Um, did she say who I like?"

"No." I quickly say.
"Oh." He scratches his neck. "Can I just say something?"

"Go ahead."

"When she kissed me, I actually- well she told me that you told her to do it before she did-"

"Stiles. Just spit it out." I laugh.

"I pictured you." He says quickly. I stare at him. "You know, I shouldn't have told you that-"

"Stiles." He looks at me shyly. "I'm glad you told me because honestly, I wish I was the one with you."

He smiles brightly. "So, you like me back?" I nod. "Woah. I've never had someone like me back before." He mutters. "Anyway, would you like to go out sometime then? I mean, you don't have to but-"

I cut him off by kissing his cheek. A blush makes its way onto my face and I can see his cheeks turning rosy. "Of course I would."
