Btw I use mom in this but you can use dad or guardian or whatever works for you:)

"Hey Stiles-" I stop and notice Scott and Lydia in Stiles' room while Stiles is shoving papers into his bag.

"Oh. Hey guys." I slightly wave at the two and they wave back.

"Um, y/n, hi. What- what are you doing here?" Stiles awkwardly asks.

"We had plans to study." I give him a look and he cringes. "You forgot." He looks at Scott but he shrugs. "Of course you did." I begin walking out of his room. "It's not like my math grade is on the line of failing!"

"Wait y/n!" He follows me down the stairs. "I'm sorry! We can study tomorrow if you want."

"The test is tomorrow." I bluntly say.

"Crap." He mutters.

"Yeah." I stop and spin around and he nearly runs into me. "This is the third time you've bailed on me, Stiles." I cross my arms.

"I know and I'm sorry."

"I also know you're hiding something." I raise an eyebrow.

"What-what makes you say that?" He scratches his neck, which he tends to do when he's nervous.

"You sneaking around. The whispering. The shoving stuff into your bag so I won't see. The times when you bail and give a dumb excuse. Conversation stops when I come around you guys. The list goes on." I turn around and head towards the front door. "Call me when you're ready to tell me." I turn to look at him. "Or don't call at all." I open the door and walk out, heading home.

"Ugh!!" I groan in frustration and throw my notebook against the wall. "Stupid Stiles. Why couldn't he just tell me the truth and help me?"

I hear a knock on my door and my mom's head peeks in. "You okay, y/n?"

"Yeah, sorry. I just don't get this. When will we ever need to use the circumference of a circle?"

She laughs. "You don't. They just like to torture young minds."

"Exactly!"

She sits on my bed beside me. "I heard you say something about Stiles."

"Oh. Yeah." I mess with my comforter. "He's hiding something from me."

"He'll tell you when he's ready." She says.

"It's been happening even before we started dating. I just never noticed it."

She pats my leg. "Just be patient." She gets up and leaves my room.

I groan again and lean back.
