"Stiles!" I skid to a stop at Stiles's locker, bending down, and catching my breath. "Oh my- I need to work out."
I hear Stiles chuckle before shutting his locker. I stand up. "What's up?" He asks.
"I need your help." I say, sounding desperate.
He gives me a weary look. "Okay?"
I cringe before playing with my hair. "So I have family coming over this weekend and I sorta told them I have a boyfriend so they'd stop pestering me. But guess what? They want to meet him."
He looks at me confused before his eyebrows shoot up, realizing where I was going. "You want me to be your boyfriend?"
"Yes." My eyes widen. "Pretend!" I say quickly. "Pretend boyfriend." I confirm again, clearing my throat.
"Why not ask Scott? Or even Isaac?" He asks, confused.
"Well, they were my plan B and C if you said no." I shrug. "Will you please?"
He thinks about it for a second before shrugging. "Okay. Do I need to do anything?"
I squeal before giving him a hug. I then realize what I'm doing and let go, stepping back.
"You do realize if we're going to be pretending, you have to act like you like touching me." Stiles smirks down at me and I shove him.
"Whatever. Wear nice clothes. Meet at my house at six?" I explain, slowly stepping away, getting ready to head to class.
He gives a thumbs up. "Got it."

I don't know why I'm so nervous but I cannot stop pacing and looking at the clock. It's currently five fifty-nine. Stiles is supposed to be here at six and my family at six thirty.
"Honey, calm down." My mom says, slightly laughing at me. I roll my eyes and she heads towards the kitchen to finish making dinner.
The door bell rings and I jump. I smooth out my clothes before taking a deep breath.
When I open the door, Stiles stands there, holding a bouquet of flowers. "Hey." He smiles.
"Hi." I give a small smile back.
He hands me the flowers and I head to the kitchen to put them in a vase with water.
"Hey Mrs. y/l/n. Need any help?" Stiles offers and I smile at the gesture.
"Nope! I got it. You guys can go hang out in the living room until the others get here." We nod and turn to leave before she stops Stiles. "I know the plan, by the way." She winks and Stiles laughs.
We head towards the living room and plop down on the couch.
"Did you tell her or did she figure it out?" Stiles asks.
I chuckle. "She would know if I had a boyfriend." He nods.
My nerves start picking up again and I wring my hands together, my right leg bouncing.
"You alright?" Stiles looks at me worriedly.
"Mhm." I put my hands under my thighs, trying to stop them from shaking.
"It's going to be fine, y/n." He quietly says.
"What if it's not?" I quickly say. "What if they don't like you? What if they figure it out and pester me even more?? What if I just make a huge fool of myself and they tell everyone how much of a loser I am to make my best friend pretend to like me? What if-"
"Hey." Stiles puts a hand on my shoulder. "Breath. It's going to be okay. Your mom can help, too."
I take a deep breath and nod.
"Plus, I don't have to pretend." He says quietly and I almost miss it.
I whip my head over to look at him. "What?"
"I'm not pretending to like you, I actually do."
I smile. Before I can respond, there's a knock on the door and I shoot up. I open the door and welcome my family in, looking over my shoulder to give Stiles a look.
Here we go.

Dinner actually wasn't too bad. My family loved Stiles and were definitely impressed when he told them he wants to be in the FBI.
The three of us wave goodbye to them as they drive down the road. Mom told us she was going to clean the kitchen and left us alone on the porch.
I let out a breath and turn to Stiles, raising my hand with a proud smile. He chuckles before giving me a high-five. "We did it."
"We did." Stiles says. His phone beeped and he took it out. He sighed. "Dad wants me to get home."
I nodded in understanding. It is pretty late.
"Thank you for doing this." I say, wrapping my arms around myself when a breeze hits my arms.
"Of course." He shrugs with a smile. "And I wasn't lying earlier, by the way."
I blush and tuck a strand of hair behind my ear. "I didn't get to say it but I like you too."
He grins and starts leaning in. Soon, his lips are on mine.
After a couple seconds, we break apart. Stiles has his forehead on mine and looks into my eyes with a glimmer in his.
"Your lips are soft."
I burst out laughing. "Thanks. Yours too." Stiles notices me shiver and pulls me into a hug. "You're warm, too."
I feel a vibration in his chest, indicating that he's laughing. "Can I ask you something?" He suddenly asks.
I pull away. "Of course."
He tucks my hair behind my ear, leaving his hand on my face. "Can I not pretend to be your boyfriend anymore?"
Hurt fills my heart. "Oh."
His eyes widen. "No! That's not what I mean." He sighs. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
I grin and quickly nod.
Before we can kiss again, his phone beeps again and he groans. I laugh as he pulls it out, seeing that it's his dad.
"I gotta go." He mutters before looking at me again. "Goodnight, Beautiful."
I blush. "Goodnight, Handsome."
Stiles steps away slowly, heading to his Jeep. He sends me an air kiss and I giggle, pretending to catch it and place it in my pocket.
"Bye, Stiles!" I hear a voice say.
I turn to my mom. "Have you been there the whole time??"
She shrugs before laughing and heading back in the house. I shake my head and follow her inside, my heart happy.
I'm so lonely and single so I make it up by writing cute scenes ahaha
