The sun was shining brightly above you. You were seated on the grass patch against the tree bark. The park was filled by laughters of children and mothers chattering while you were reading your favourite book, Crash by Nicole Williams, a three series book, Crash, Clash, Crush and it was probably the third time you've read the book because it was so good.
A typical romance genre, of a girl namely Lucy Larson falling for the bad boy, Jude Ryder. You've always lived in the fantasy of falling for the bad boy and turning him good. However, unfortunately for you, the only bad boy in your life was none other than your oppressive boss, Mr. Park, the CEO of AOMG.
Despite your wealthy background, your parents never approved of letting either you or your siblings live off their money too often. They wanted all of you to be independent and financially capable and that was why you applied as your boss' secretary, the only high-paying job that didn't take your qualifications into account.
It was a beautiful Sunday, the only day you get to relax and destress. A day you have all to yourself without working as a personal servant for your inconsiderate boss. He was always ordering you around, telling you what to do and never uttering a single word of appreciation. You, on the other hand, always sucked up to his extreme demeanor.
"Y/N! Why didn't you clean my office yesterday? Wasn't I paying you enough?" an annoying, angry voice erupted from the phone as soon as you held the device to your ear. Mr. Park called you just in time, as you were thinking of how grateful you were to at least have a day away from him.
"Sorry, sir. I will clean it when I come to work tomorrow."
"No, come to work this instance and clean it. Or else you can kiss this job goodbye!" With that, he hung up the phone. You were seriously contemplating ditching him and continuing your off day relaxedly. But knowing him, if you were to disobey, he wouldn't be merciful. Not like he ever was.
Sighing and wallowing in self-pity, you picked yourself up and quickly drove to work. Just as you entered the building, Miyoung, the administrator who worked at the front desk, shot you a pitiful look. Ignoring her, you dragged your feet to the elevator and pressed the button to the fourth level, where Mr. Jay's office was located.
When you entered his office, it was clean. Very clean as a matter of fact. That was when you remembered that you actually did clean his office the day before. But why the hell did he call you over just to clean his already sparkling clean office? You weren't the cleaner, you were his secretary for heaven's sake.
You grabbed your hair in frustration and groaned, "why the hell am I called over if his office is already this clean?"
"That's because I needed a reason for you to come instantly," a voice was heard from behind you. You turned around to see Mr. Jay standing behind you in casual clothing. He was always dressed like as if it was Seoul Fashion Week. But that day, he was dressed in more comfortable and breathable clothing.
"But why sir?" you asked, confused.
"Do you want to eat lunch with me? I'm hungry."
"Urm, sir, I-"
"You know I don't take no for an answer."
Sighing in defeat, you nodded your head and he quickly brought you to his car at the basement carpark. It was the first time you actually rode his car. Actually, it was the first time you've ever seen his car. That man is stinking rich, you thought he probably had a chauffeur who drove him around.
The both of you arrived at a middle class restaurant. He said he wanted to take you some place nicer but to avoid causing you discomfort, he settled on a not so informal nor formal restaurant so you would eat without worrying about the price of the food.
Did he actually not know that you're actually wealthy yourself? Your father alone could afford his whole life but he didn't have to know that. But really, with just the allowance your father weekly gave you, you could probably afford the high class restaurant he supposedly wanted to bring you to.
Lunch with him was rather quiet. You were thankful he didn't make any spiteful remarks to further ruin your already ruined Sunday. In fact, he was very nice and considerate towards you. He pulled your chair out for you, opened doors for you, putting on your seatbelt for you and even paid for your meal.
"Sir, I don't mean to be rude but why are you doing all these for me? Am I getting fired?"
He chuckled at your question and replied, "no you silly girl. Don't you see the whole point? Why do you think I was so mean and rude to you?"
"Because you're an asshole?" Oops! Your mind spoke before your mouth could process it. His eyes grew wide at your sudden attack but fortunately, he laughed it off.
After mentally cursing yourself for being a brat, he offered to send you home. Chivalry indeed wasn't dead. He was extremely nice and gentlemanly towards you. You never knew that side of him existed. Although you knew he was always nice to his other colleagues; his female labelmates, his female backup dancers, the front desk admin, his choreographer and the rest of the people who were associated to him for business purposes. It was just you who he wasn't so nice to.
"Y/N. I would like to take you out on a date next Friday. But that is if you don't mind," he looked shy. You already arrived at your front door and he insisted to walk you over. Taken aback by his unbelievable request, you hesitated but agreed to it in the end. You were silently hoping that he would be nice to you if you agreed on going on a date with him.
What surprised you the most was when he leaned in to kiss you and then ran off to his car immediately.
And that was how you, Mrs. Park, fell in love with your husband. You reminisced on the time your husband, Jay, first took you out, asked you for another date and then kissed you goodbye. If that day never happened, if you had not took any chances by not going to his office that particular Sunday, you wouldn't be sitting right where you are right now, with your newborn son on your lap, while your husband's at the kitchen whipping up a meal for the both of you.
On top of all of that, you did fall for the bad boy and turned him good.
