"Oh my God babe did you read today's article? I was voted Hottest Korean Rapper of 2017! Amazing, huh?" Jay bragged to you.
As his girlfriend slash fiancée, you were proud of him. But it wore you out to constantly be proud of him but never doing anything to make him proud of you.
You? Girlfriend slash fiancée of the Korean Celebrity, Jay Park, who cooks his meal for breakfast and dinner, goes out to work sometime around lunch till before dinner, then comes home to greet him and listen to his tremendous achievements while the most you've achieved on most days were a three dollar tip from obnoxious customers. Not to forget, you sell coffee for a living.
"Yeah, great," you replied half-heartedly.
Oblivious to your tone, he continued, "I thought it was going to be Zico or B.I or CL or Jessi or I don't know, truth be told, I think I deserved the title. Don't you think so?"
"Yeah, great," you repeated your answer, not knowing that it doesn't relate to what he said. Noticing that you were spacing out, you didn't realise as Jay was already seated facing you.
He stared at you for as long as you spaced out until you felt a pair of lips on yours. Surprised, you snapped out of your trance and stared at him wide-eyed as his lips were still on yours.
"Had a bad day, my darling?" He asked as soon as he detached his lips.
Shrugging your shoulders, you got up and walked over to the kitchen to get a glass of water. "I don't know, Jay. You've done so much to be raised and named King but I don't exactly fit Queen. You and I? We're like Prince and the Pauper," you said.
Eyeing you with a weird expression plastered on his face, Jay walked towards you and slowly pulled you into his embrace.
You could smell his cologne from his shirt and remembered how it was his perfume that got you attracted to him and gave you the courage to talk to him.
"What now?" You groaned, while still reminiscing on the time he finally asked you out, with a bottle of the perfume that you liked smelling on him in his hands in replacement of a boquet of flowers.
"Did you not have a proper childhood? Prince and the Pauper was a great love story. The Pauper was a beautiful, down-to-earth, kind-hearted, and amazing lady, all the reasons why the Prince truly loved her. And if you are anything, you are all the Pauper was," he spoke while still having you in his embrace.
Half-hugging you, he looked into your eye before closing his to kiss you on your lips delicately. It soon turned into a passionate kiss, as his lips mingled with yours ferociously, one that allowed you to genuinely feel his exotic love for you, and all the right reasons why he was the one for you.
"I love you, Jay."
"Always and forever."
