Breathing in the fresh air of Seoul, you closed your eyes and told yourself that whatever happened in Washington remains in Washington. You lived and suffered there alone for the past ten years. The past is over and what matters more now is the present and the future. You've got to step up or step down.

"Aaaaaaah!!" A shrill sound pierced through your ears almost deafening you. Behind you were an army of girls crowding around the other entrance of the airport holding placards with the famous Korean boy band's name, SHINee, on it.

Rolling your eyes, you quickly got into the nearest taxi and head towards your destination, Dad's house.

The journey was long and uncomfortable. Endless thoughts filled your head as you tried to comprehend what awaits you. After your parents divorce, you've watched them fight over whose custody you'll fall into and honest to heart, you wanted to live with neither.

It wasn't the kind of fight where they fought for you. It was the kind of fight they fought against you.

"You take care of her! She's a girl, she'll need her mother!"

"No you take care of her! You're so much more capable than I am. I'm just a mere seamstress, how am I supposed to afford her? Girls are expensive!"

The memory of your parents fighting fifteen years ago played in your head. A silent tear escaped your eye. "Are you okay, Miss?" The taxi driver asked, breaking you away from your thoughts.

"I'm fine. Please keep driving," you replied nicely.

"We've actually arrived."

Looking out the window, you took in the sight of your dad's house. It was huge, there were men dressed in suits guarding every entrance. Gulping, you paid the taxi driver and got out of the car.

After unloading your luggages from the boot, you slowly made your way to the main entrance.

"Name?"

"Cheryl Lee."

"Oh you're Mr. Lee's daughter. I'm sorry," he replied in Korean and bowed to you. He ushered you into the house and a lady in a red apron greeted you. "Welcome home Little Miss."

You were taken to a room, probably yours for the rest of your stay and it was jaw-dropping. The room was as huge as your living room back in Washington. You never knew your dad was that rich to be able to afford such an exquisite and luxurious house.

Till dinner, you spent your time familiarising with the house.

Dinner came and you were picked up by the lady earlier to the dining room. You see your dad and another man in suit on the dining table. "Cheryl, my daughter! Come let's eat. I want to introduce you to your future husband," your father excitedly announced.

You weren't as shocked as you thought you would be. After mom's death, you gave up on having a good life. Going with the flow of life was all you've ever done ever since. And if marrying the man your dad arranged you to was part of the flow, you'd lifelessly go along with it.

"This is Jay Park. You know the famous Park & co? He owns that company."

Nodding your head, you studied your future husband's profile from head to toe. He was seated so you couldn't gauge his height. But he had a cute aggressive face with a tight smile line. His eyes weren't big but that was common for Asians. He had a few cuts on his eyebrows but that made him seemed manly.

"I'm Cheryl Lee. Nice to meet you Mr. Park," you greeted softly.

"Call me Jagi. After all, we're going to get married anyways," he replied, shooting you the most beautiful smile you've ever seen.

Days after, you rarely saw your dad at home but you've been going on impromptu dates and wedding planning with Mr. Park. He was nice and considerate towards you. He would pick you up at the house and drive you home too. But there was one thing you didn't like about him; he checks out every beautiful woman around him and didn't even bother to not make it obvious.

"So Cheryl. We're going to get married in two days time. Let me ask you a personal question."

You looked at him in curiosity, "shoot."

"Are you a virgin?"

"You can find out once we're married. That's a part of me that's meant to be private and only revealed to someone who I trust. And since I'm marrying you, I'll have to trust you. But not now."

"Are you saying that you want to do the deed with me after getting married? Even though we have no mutual feelings? Like, you do know I have a girlfriend, right?"

Your expression sunk, so did your heart. I'm marrying a man who has a girlfriend? You asked yourself mentally. Well if that's the flow of my life...

Finally the wedding day arrived and you were shit nervous.

.
.
.

"I now pronounce you, husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."

Cupping your face, he looked at you deep in the eyes. You inhaled nervously and he pulled you in for a short kiss. Whistles and claps were heard from around you. You were embarrassed and could feel your heart beating furiously.

That feeling was familiar. Too familiar as a matter of fact.

After the wedding, the both of you head to your new shared home. It was not as huge as your dad's but it was still huge.

"What about your girlfriend?" You asked out of nowhere. He was taking out his coat when you asked and it mind blocked him when you did.

"What about her?"

"Well you have a girlfriend and you're married to me now. You got to choose one and leave the other. I'm not okay with being married to a man with a girlfriend."

"Let me ask you a real question right now. Do you not know who I am?"

"Ok hold up. If you think your position in the economy would faze me, think again. I've said this once and I'll say it differently this time. Break up with your girlfriend."

"I can't."

"Why the hell not?"

"Cheryl, do you really not know who I am?"

"Er, Jay Park?"

"And what do you think my Korean name is?"

"Park Jay- oh my God Park Jae Bum!"

Memories of you and him in the past as kids played in your head.

"17 years ago my first love told me that she will be my girlfriend if I have no girlfriend. And I held on to that promise ever since. Never thought I would marry her," he said, smug.

"17 years ago I promised my first love that I will be his girlfriend if he can't find any."

"Welcome back Lee Sae Ri(your Korean name)," he hugged you.

You married your first love. And that was your flow of life.
