The sun is coming up. Everyone for day time work is up eating breakfast. The school is a little cold. Kids sit at the tables with very little on there plate. We have to be careful with our food. If we Dont we starve.
"Everyone may I have your attention?" Marcy says standing infront of everyone. "I need some volunteers to come with me on a scavenger mission. It wont be long but I will need a good amount to come with."
Kids started to stand up. Jack, Daniel and his guys were the first. Next were some of the patrol and half the archer infantry. Thats atleast twenty-two people. The others are still to dreary to notice what is haplening.
When they woke up on the floor it was the worst feeling in the world. Some have sleeping bags from the pawnshop but thats about it.
Outside the sun is coming up behind the school. The grass wet from the morning dew. Birds singing their beautiful songs.
Alex and Gary are chatting onfront of the gate. They both turn seeing her walk out with a bat resting on her shoulder.
Gary clears his throat. "In a about an hour we will start construction for the plots and archer walls, Marcy. Do you need anything at the moment?" He says yawning.
"No. Just came out to see what's going on." Marcy replied observing the bodies piled at the fence. "Ill help you all dump the bodies when I get something to eat." She walking back inside.
A kid named Victor comes running inside after her. He was out walking around the town. Mostly running on the roof tops to avoid being eaten. He stops infront of her out of breath. His butt wet from sliding off a house. "Theres a mob at the park across from K Mart they're everywhere. Its a nest."
Damn. How am I supposed to get in there to get food and supplies? We could burn them out. No we need to save gas.
"Ok. Ill try to figure something out about the horde."
Victor went out lastnight when he heard Marcy and Jacob talk about the assault. Thought he might as well scout the area. He is a very clever kid. Gets around and blends in everywhere. He likes to go out all the time. Doesn't like to be with other people. Watching the grownups intreaged him. Made him want to learn more about them.
Marcy sits in the library with a couple of apples and a bottle of water. Sitting alone in the corner she wanders how to get in there and kill all the grownups.
How about we get the cars out of the school parkinglot. Take a water tank from a house and roll it down a hill. Full assault. Maybe pick them off with the guns and arrows. Car bombs. No. We need the gas. Ah, thats right. Just drive in and run them over. Use a bomb or two. We dont need to waste it all.
Daniel and his closest friends come in.
"What's the plan on getting into the area?" Daniel asks.
Marcy looks uo at him. "We are going to take in the vehicles. Use a couple of cars in the parkinglot sown there as bombs because of the horde of grownups. When we get there Ill add more to it. Strategy."
Daniel nodded thinking of her plan. "Sounds good."
"First we need to ean the place up. Get warmed up. Go talk to Gary. I got some kids to take care of."
Jack nodded and they all left to go outside. Gary told them what to do and they waited for Marcy to come out.
