Chapter Five

"What kind of private school doesn't have any AC?" reklamo ko habang pabalik sa classroom. "Meron naman, sira lang." his reply was nonsense to me kaya hindi ko na pinansin.

"So ano talagang plano?" tanong ni Kim pagkapasok sa classroom. "Let's discuss it later." I replied and went to my chair. "Later?" he asked and sat beside me.

"What are you doing?" I asked. "Madali lang makipagpalit ng pwesto. You don't notice 'cause you stare at the window for almost the whole day." he grinned and fixed his things.

"You've been watching me?" I replied with a question. "Are we gonna argue about our seats the whole day? Tell me your plan."

I sneered because he tried to dismiss the topic. "Justin's absence means something, right?" I asked. "Syempre, napagod kaka-"

"Wag mo na ituloy." I said, disgusted. "He'll probably be here. Lagi naman lunch time pumapasok yun eh." ani Kim. "Given with what happened last night, Justin's late but Drey is here, early, like nothing bad happened." I said as I observed Drey outside the room.

"You're looking at me like I'm supposed to say something. Ikaw ang genius dito." he confusedly replied. "Paano kung naging sila pala?" dagdag niya.

"I doubt it."

"You said it yourself. Drey is here, all energetic, na para bang walang nangyaring kababalaghan kagabi. Maybe because her emotions are too full of positivity that's why she doesn't mind it." Kim explained. I guess he wasn't a complete fool after all.

"You're close on making sense but Justin's not here. If something good happened for both of them, dapat nandito siya ngayon." I explained back. "My guess is she's onto something."

"Ano naman yun?" tanong niya habang nakatingin sa labas. "She's had a crush on him for years, I should add. Sa pagkakaalala ko sakanya, she would pull moves again on Justin."

"Napakalala mo naman mag isip. Basta ako, happy lang. I feel like they became something yesterday." he smiled. "If what you say is true, he wouldn't act like he's doing now." I said and pointed at Justin's direction using my lips. He passed Drey from the corridor and just sat down at his seat with no smile or happiness in his face.

"If naging sila kahapon, don't you think meron siyang hug, greeting or even just a smile kay Drey?" I looked at him with a victory smile. "Alright, I'll give it to you." Kim smiled, with defeat written in his face.

"Keep on observing Drey." I ordered him while getting my fan from my bag.

"Meron akong handfan." Kim offered and looked for it in his bag. "Here." abot niya.

"Thanks." I said and opened it. I should get me one of these. "Pahanginan mo rin naman ako." reklamo nya." I was a little shock that he's like this but I decided to go with the flow. Hindi naman masama kung maging close kami.

Tumagal na yung hapon at nagumpisa yung mga kaklase ko'ng magreklamo. They're so stupid, they don't even know that the more they talk the more heat they produce.

"Sir! Pwede mag tupi ng sando?" Drey shouted and made everybody look at her. Nagtinginan kami ni Kim and smiled at each other.

"What do you mean Drey?" Our professor, dumb enough to entertain the stupid question, asked. "Ita-tie ko lang po tas lilitaw lang po ng konti yung tyan ko." Seryoso ba sya sa sinasabi niya? "Ang init kasi talaga sir."
