Chapter Nine

 

"No, bro. You told me we'd have another girl and you pay me. Hindi ibang tao, ikaw." Jake kinda got mad. "Well I already told another person about it." sabi ni Kim at hinampas ko siya.

Where is he going with this?

 
"Gago ka ba? We had an agreement! You bring us the money, no one else should know about it!" sigaw ni Jake over the phone. Kim was only smirking here. "I was kidding brother. Don't get mad, loosen up. I'll get you the money and all will be well."

   
"You piece of shit, alright. Bye, you dumbass." he ended the call. "What was that all about?" My mouth was literally open the whole time they're talking. He showed my phone and played something.

It was Jake's voice, "Gago ka ba? We had an agreement! You bring us the money, no one else should know about it!"

"You bring that to court. Tell them you talked to them in a burner phone. You're fucking rich, get a lawyer." he giggled. My dad did tell me to go to that level. "Trust me on this. It'll be fun as shit!"

"Just for ransom, alright? They don't get hurt?" I asked, actually considering it.

"Nah, I'm sure they won't touch the girls. They need the money too much to touch them." he smiled and drank. This is fucking crazy. Not even the good kind.

"Huwag muna natin to ubusin. Sayang yung alak in this kind of atmosphere." he said and opened the balcony door.

"You're leaving? After basically spitting a crazy plan, you're leaving?" I asked sarcastically.

"I said what I need to say. Kailangan mo nalang pag isipan. I'll see you at school." he winked and left.

   

Sumilip ako sa balcony, "Don't get caught, dumbass." I said while waving goodbye.

    
Wala nanaman ako'ng tulog kagabi. I couldn't stop thinking about Kim's crazy plan. Dapat ba 'kong pumayag? This is illegal, for goodness' sake! But then again, they're doing it either I agree or not. Sayang naman yung opportunity na mas malaking chance na mag work.

 "Buti naman pumasok ka na." tinusok ni Kim yung tagiliran ko kaya napaupo ako.

"About the plan..." sabi ko at hiniga yung ulo ko sa desk. "I seriously don't know what to do."

"We don't have to talk about it now." sabi niya at hiniga rin yung ulo sa tabi ko. His face inches away from me.

"Ang aga naman para maglandian." pang aasar ni Cha.

"I'm glad they're using her as bait." I whispered and leaned back on my chair.

"You're gonna be real glad if it was Drey." he joked.

"I'm kidding." he smirked. Sinamaan ko siya ng tingin, "Pag usapan na natin ngayon if you want."

"No, it's too early for you to decide. I'm not gonna pressure you. I just want you to think about it." ani Kim.

"When is a good time, then?" tanong ko.

"Have dinner with me on Friday. Sa bahay lang naman, my dad's never there kaya yung kapatid ko lang yung nandun." Ang bilis niyang sinabi, hindi na collect ng utak ko.

"What?"

"Go to my house on Friday. Let's talk about it there." he explained. I thought he was asking me out for a second there, jeesh.
