Chapter 9

   I rushed to my mom's house as fast as I could. I couldn't wait to see King. I bought my mom a 3-bedroom house last year. She was living in a studio apartment since it's just her. I wanted to give her the house she always wanted. Yeah, the house kind of big for it to be just her but she still loves it. When we start having kids, they'll help fill the house up. While I waited on King, I made sure the guest room was fixed up. He texted and told me he was outside. I told him to come through the backdoor. My mom got the nosiest neighbors ever. He looked so fucking good. I couldn't control myself, I attacked him as soon as he came through the gate. He picked me up and carried me in the house. Which way to go? Give it to me right here, I said. There we were, fucking on my mom's kitchen floor. I wanted it so bad I didn't want to wait to get upstairs. You fucking me so good, I moaned out. In the middle of us fucking, I heard my phone ring. Of course I ignored it. A few seconds later, my mom's phone started ringing. This can't be nobody but her. Hold on, I have to get this.

    Hello! What you doing at my house? I just stopped by since I was in the area. Who you got over there? Just somebody new at the station, I told him to stop by so we could go over a few things. I was gon meet him at the station but he was closer to here. I was just checking, you know nosey ass Kathrine called and told me. Yeah, I saw her peeking out the window when he pulled up. Nosey bitch, I can't stand her. I'll let y'all get back to work, give Chance my love. I will, I said. Everything ok? Yeah, just my mom checking in. Her neighbor saw cars outside so she called to let her know I was here. Damn, she neighborhood watch? As much as she sits in that window, she might as well be. Enough about that, let's get back to the fucking. You sure? Why wouldn't I be? We fucking in your mother's house, that's disrespectful. I just had to have you, I said. Let's go back to my place. Ok, ill follow you there. I checked my phone and saw the station called. SHIT! Blake said it was important and to call him back as soon as I can. Just give me your address and ill meet you there. I have to stop at the station for a minute. 27 Baker Ave, King said. That ain't too far from me, probably like 4 minutes away. Just stop by anytime, King said. Ok, ill see you in a little bit. Something always interrupting my fuck session with King.

     I walked in my office and there was Chance, just sitting there. Hey honey, what you doing here? I went back to the house to check on you, I felt bad I left knowing you wasn't feeling too good. I get there and no you there. I figured maybe you came back to work. I been sitting here for a good hour now. I'm sorry honey, I made a few stops after I left the house. I needed to go to the post office and I stopped at the bank. It looks like you feeling better. Yeah, think I just needed to lay down for a minute. You have a nice office, Chance said. Thanks, it really fits me. You know what I like about the office the most? What? This nice comfortable couch, I said while pulling Chance towards the couch. I sat Chance down and started unbuckling his belt. What are you doing? Just giving my man some afternoon mouth. I knew I needed to do something to make Chance forget the fact he been sitting here waiting on me all this time. What better way to do that than give him some head? I keep saying im going to be more careful and yet im always getting caught. Me and King need to chill out for a little minute. It'll be easier if I just tell him im married but we not on good terms right now. Doing that sounds easier than stop cheating all together.

    Baby, stop. What? This is your job, I didn't come here for this. I just wanted to please you. You please me at home, not in your office. Sorry, I said while getting up. I'll see you at home. Something is going on with him. He never stopped me from sucking his dick. I'll figure out what's going on later. Why didn't you tell me over the phone Chance was waiting on me? He asked me not to tell you, he wanted to surprise you. I was just following orders, that's all. I got everything together for the press meeting, Blake said. Cool, when is it? Next Friday at 9am. That'll work, I said. What about the march thing? It'll be that Saturday morning starting at 8am. Make sure you mention it in the press meeting. We need for it to be a big turnout, Blake said. We're going to pass out flyers as well to help promote it. Yeah, we need everybody to come out and support this cause. Domestic violence is such a serious issue in the black communities. OMG! Listen to this, Blake said while looking at his phone. A few speakers want to join the press meeting for like an open discussion, like a panel type thing. I reached out to a few organizations that I thought would be great to help support the cause. I guess it got around to some other people. I think it'll be a great idea to turn it into an open discussion, I said. It'll be interesting hearing other people's views on it. We should have a few people with power, you, and a few regular people that may have gone through it. Yeah, people with different opinions coming together to raise awareness. I love it already!

     After leaving the station, I wanted to swing by King's house since I had to pass his house anyway. I know something is going on with Chance so it's best if I tend to him first. Don't want him thinking im up to something. I made it to the house and Chance wasn't there. Where you at? Just leaving Honest house, what's up? I just wanted to see where you were, that's all. Yeah, I stopped by to check on her for a second. She ok? Yeah, she wasn't answering the phone so I thought ill come back to make sure everything was ok. I'll be home in a second, Chance said. I know things between us haven't been perfect lately, mainly because of me. I needed to do something to show Chance I love and appreciate him. I hopped in the car and went to the mall. A few weeks ago, I remember Chance talking about a watch he wanted. I planned on getting him the watch for his birthday but that's too far away. I think getting the watch is a good gesture to show him I love him. Also, to make him overlook these little coincidences we been having lately. 

    It was just my luck the mall wasn't too packed. I was able to run in, get the watch, have it gift wrapped, and get back out all within 15 minutes. I wanted to beat Chance home so I could give it to him in a romantic way. Traffic started to get heavy as I was headed home. Where you coming from? I forgot to make a stop on my way home, I said. I couldn't make the moment romantic so I just gave it to him. I wanted to give you this. What's this? Just open it, I said while smiling. It's the watch I wanted. What's this for? Nothing, I remember you said you wanted it so I wanted to be the one to get it for you. Awww, how sweet. I really appreciate the gesture. Why do I feel like it's a but coming? I already got this watch. WHAT! I bought it like a week ago, Chance said. Why? Because I wanted it and I have the money to buy it. I never seen you wear it, I said. I had it on when we went to the resort. Oh, I didn't notice. I see, Chance said while putting the watch back in the box. Now I feel like a dumbass. I just spend $945 and 43 cents on a watch his ass already got. Guess ill take it back then.

     We were laying down watching a movie when I got a text. I wanted to look at it but I wasn't sure if it was King or not. I definitely didn't want to read it where Chance could read it too. I pretended to check my emails just so I could at least see the name. So glad I didn't check it, it's Kris. He wanted to meet up tomorrow for a few minutes. I already know why he want to meet up. I really have to chill out with my cheating. I'm getting caught way too much now. I already ended things with Talen. I need to end things with Kris since he leaving back out soon. As far as King, I can just put our little thing on hold for now. Right now, I just need to focus on making sure Chance doesn't think im fooling around. I know it won't take much for that. All I have to do is, put him before my job. Once I do that, we'll be all good.
