After using one of the bathrooms, on the middle floor, to go to toilet, I made my way downstairs to the kitchen.

Before I take you through my kitchen activity, I feel an explanation is required. I'm referring to the last statement made on the previous chapter. I'm sure you recall what that was, but just in case you can't lets replay.

He looked at me with scorn on his face. 'No, I'm not and even if I was to go down to eat, I wouldn't need your assistance'. He then took a bag out of his placket and pulled out one of eight severed fingers and started to suck on the severed end.

Oh....that reminds me. I forgot to tell you that my family are all vampires.

Right, now that's your reminder. So, now let me explain. I stated before that my family were on the run from the Russian authorities. This is true, however, the reason for this is because of their nature. As stated, my family are vampires.

Real Vampires. The ones that suck blood. Hence what Uncle Vlad was doing with the severed finger. Now, before you think the worse of us, let me just state that......

'Morning Ryan', I was jogged out of my thoughts, as I turned to the vision of beauty. Sofia Volkov, slender and beautiful. If all girls were this gorgeous in Russia, I wanted my parents to move back.

Unfortunately, Sofia was nearly eighty years old. Fortunately, she looked as though she was in her early twenties.

'Morn....morning', I mumbled out, almost falling down the final three steps.

She giggled. Even the way she mocked me was stunning. She caught up to me and put her perfect arm over my shoulder. 'Come on', she said ushering me towards the kitchen.

I apologize for the interruption, but she's definitely worth it. Now, these explanations are mounting up. You're now wondering how she could look so good and yet be in her seventies. What makes it even stranger is that she looks slightly younger than my mum. Who, for her age, looks around fifteen years younger than her age of fifty-two.

However, explaining the aging process of vampires takes some time and I was definitely going to be late for school.

Let me first go back to what I was saying. You shouldn't think the worse of us, because we eat people, we do make sure we only kill people who deserve it. "In our opinion"
