I didn't go home after school, I watched Steven head off home. Steven had a huge gathering around him, students who were proud of his defeat of Brian, students who had previously been bullied by Brian, students who saw Steven as the reigning fighter in the school. Things were never going to be the same for my brother.

I made my way to the other side of the school, I had managed to avoid Maureen, as she wanted me to accompany her to Patrick's home to check up on him. I had other ideas, only this time I would follow through with them.

As expected Brian was in his usual spot selling drugs. It was a Friday and I guessed that the majority of his drug business would be done at this time.

The alley was already dark when I arrived. I stood there for a moment working out the best place to hide myself. I walked over to the large bins half way down, I shifted some of the wood and bed frames, being careful not to cut myself on any jagged edge. I grabbed the metal handle on the bin closest and pulled it slightly away from the wall. I took out the hammer I had taken from the technology department at school, out of my bag. I squeezed myself behind the bin and waited.

I was sure that Brian would need a new supply after his Friday sales and guessed that he had stocked up the previous day because of the potential influx. I started to doubt it, when an hour later he still hadn't turned up.

Ten minutes later he did finally arrive. I heard his footsteps before I saw him. I had a good view of the side door he would knock at and seconds later he did that. It took a long minute, during which I held my breath, sure he may hear me breathing, before the door opened and Brian stepped in.
