Chapter Nineteen
I stare down at the dregs of my tea leaves, at the bottom of my porcaline cup. Ella hums from another room, getting me my remedies. My gaze drifts from my tea to the table, old mahogony, the wood slightly warped from water damage, blood, claw marks. This table was used for dining, and surgury. My fingers trace aganst a certain groove in the furniture, one that look more jagged than the others. I look up sharply when i see Ella emerge from the hall, her cat following close on her heels.
"These should do it." She says as she places a small box infront of me. "Something for your musscels, somthing for sleep, and something to calm yourself..." She gives a small grin to me at the last, the motion causes the deep lines in her face to crinkle. " You seem very, off set latley." Ella chuckels. I bristle while my inner wolf whines softly.
"I'm assuming you already know why." I say flatly letting my hands rest in my lap, Ella has a habit of knowing everything. She sits across from me with a gohstly smile, her long white hair framing her face sharply.
Her tone is vauge, "I have a guess." Her hand reaches forwards for my tea cup and i push it towards her. She reads tea leaves. I let out a sigh.
"Well, Carlisle has broken the group into two packs." She nods waiting for me continue as i stare at the wall behind her. A sword is hung up on the wall in decoration, one of her many odd collections she holds about. "He made the alpas obviously Philip and Mason, i was expecting to be picked from Philip! But he was taking his time...And who picks me but bloody Mason. Not only am i forced to be in his pack, but i'm the damn alpha female." The words are practically hissing from me, she raises and eyebrow to me before peering back down into the small cup.
"Which infers that you be his mate?" She says while tilting the cup slightly, and inquisitve look on her face. I stop the growl in my throat before it becomes heard.
"...Yes. So i don't know what i'm going to do about Philip!" Again she raises her eyes to me, humor dancing in them. I shake my head "No! I'm not even concidering Mason! He's... Mason."
"It's only temporarily dear, you'll be back to your original Allistair before you know it-" She's cut off by something that appears to be in the cup."It depends, actually." My eyes widen leaning closer "Your going to have to decide."
"What? Between what exactly?" Curiosity and worry spike through me.
She gives a half smile, " Between lust, and love." My cheeks flame and i stare down at the table.
"Okay then. Is that all?" I bite my lip, wanting to get out of here i'm supposed to meet Philip soon. I see Ella tense, her hands put down the small cup and her lips purse, not sure how to explain. "What? What did you see?" Her eyes meet my own gravely.
