~ROBINS POV~

I was the first one out the door to go when I saw him. Beastboy was right behind me.

We raced into the city eager to get revenge. Our promise to Kaelyn slipped my mind completely when I saw his face on the screen.

He was standing in the middle of the street, controlling the air to throw cars into buildings, and throwing the citizens around.

I wanted to kill him. I wanted to hurt him a thousand times more than I’ve ever wanted to hurt Slade. And I knew by the looks on their faces, that my team hated him just as much as I did. Especially BB.

“Ah, Robin,” he said. “Remember me?”

It’d be impossible to forget, I wanted to say. I remained silent, not giving him anything.

“Of course, I don’t go by my old name... not intimidating enough. I go by The Commander now. To be honest, I hate it, but the boss likes it...,” he trailed off, smirking.

I grinded my teeth. I would not let him bait me.

“Not speaking to your old man, eh?” he asked.

I snapped. “You are not my ‘old man.'"

He raised his eyebrow. “Alright then... since you don’t want to talk... we’ll fight.” He threw a rock in our direction, and we scattered.

“Titans, GO!” I yelled, and we started attacking.

Beastboy and I fought the hardest. I was throwing everything I had at him, and BB was morphing into every animal alive, attacking him.

Still, it wasn’t enough. ‘The Commander’ was strong.

After about an hour of nonstop combat, he stepped back. “I’ll see you again, be sure of it,” he said. Then he stepped into the shadows, and was gone.

“What are we going to do, Robin?” Starfire asked.

“What do you mean? We’re going after him! Something we should’ve done three months ago!” BB shouted. “First he takes Kaelyn away, and now he’s attacking our city!”

I was at the computer, searching ‘The Commander’. He was everywhere. Destroying cities... robbing banks... he even killed hundreds in Twin City.

Which was where Kaelyn lived.

I stood up so abruptly that it made Starfire jump a little.

“So... what are we doing?” she asked.

“We’re going to Twin City. That’s were he lives... at least used to,” I told them.

“Good,” Beastboy said, heading toward the stairs.

“But Robin... if we go there, we will be breaking our promise to Kaelyn,” Starfire said.

“So? He attacked us first! That’s open game!” Beastboy exclaimed from the doorway.

“I know, Star. But I can’t take it anymore. We’re going, and getting revenge.” I said with such finality they didn’t think about objecting.
