~KAELYN’S POV~

I tried not to cry out in pain the whole time. The Director definantly wasn’t gentle with our bodies as he and some other people (I’m guessing minions) carried us to... the basement?

I was suddenly dropped onto hard concrete, and I slightly winced. Really, could be anymore rough?

I slightly opened my eyes and saw Katherine, staring at me. She had cuts and bruises everywhere, and had tears in her eyes. She didn’t notice that I was awake, which was probably good. Knowing her, she would shout something that would give me away.

“Here you are Charles,” the Director said to my father.

I almost smiled, because I knew he absolutely hated that name. Although I’m sure why... I always loved it. But why was the Director calling him that? Wasn’t he working for The Commander?

“Thanks Boss,” my father said, and I almost gasped.

In fact, I heard Katherine gasp. This day was just getting better and better...

First, my

leader turns out to be a backstabbing, good for nothing, heartless, useless...

thing , and now, I find out that he’s the boss who was in charge of my father,

and made me sign that stupid contract three months ago.

Well this day just

couldn’t get better.

My mind reeled with options, which, really, wasn’t much. I couldn’t do anything with my friends and family unconscious. And Katherine, I don’t know how badly she was hurt, but I don’t want to risk it.

So... what to do?

~ROBIN’S POV~

I couldn’t stand this.

I don’t know how that gas knocked out everybody but me, but it did. And now, I have to figure out a way to get everyone out of here.

I opened my eyes slightly, and saw... Katherine?

Yes! That was her! I remember those bright blue eyes...

But wasn’t her hair red? Yes, a bright kool-aid red. She must’ve had it died. All of the ninja’s must have

some kind of disguise. Like Kaelyn, when she changed her eye color.

Katherine didn’t look good. She had a black eye, and other cuts and bruises all over. She seemed to be looking at someone, but from where I was, I couldn’t tell who. Probably Flame or Kaelyn.

But what could I do?

“Here you are Charles,” a voice said, and it sounded like that director guy that Kaelyn and Katherine were talking to the day I was eavesdropping. Wasn’t he their leader? And Charles... wasn’t that Kaelyn’s dads name?

Great. Just great.
