"What about the baby?" Alec asks when magnus seems unable to ask.
"She's here."
"Magdaline." Alec says softly. "We want to see her."
They follow magnus and alec out of the room and down the hallway. The doctor stops them before they go in.
"Your majesty, I need to prepare you before you go in." Alec nods and the doctor continues. "She is very small, only a little over two pounds. She's not breathing on her own so she is hooked up to alot of machines."
"Are we able to hold her?" Magnus asks.
"For just a few minutes at a time."
The doctor opens the door and everyone follows him in and over to the small little girl.

"For the last time." Alec says to the clave representative who is in his office. "We do not want a nurse for magdaline."
"Your majesty, she is a princess."
"I know she is." He says, smiling at magnus who is holding her. "But, me and my husband are going to raise our daughter, so, I want her stuff moved into our chambers and I do not want a nurse." Alec says, walking over to magnus.

Magnus feels for alec but when he feels the empty bed, he opens his eyes and notices the balcony doors open. He sits up and listens to alec talking to magdaline.
"Well, baby girl, you certainly had a rough start in life but you are going to have everything you could ever need or want. I'm sure we aren't going to be perfect parents and we are going to screw up but you will know that we will always love you with everything we have."
Magnus smiles then wiping the tears from his face, lays back down, listening to alec hum to magdaline.
