Alec jumps off the couch, where he had been sleeping fitfully, when the door of his office is thrown open.
"Jerome." Alec exclaims, kneeling next to the man on the floor.
"Alec." Jerome says, placing his hand on alecs cheek them falling unconscious.
"Jace!"

The five people surrounding the hospital bed all look up when the person on the bed begins to stir.
"Where am i?" Jerome gasps, opening his eyes.
"You are in the infirmary in the palace." Izzy answers.
"I am so sorry, your majesty. I tried to protect them." He says, looking at alec.
Alec closes his eyes and taking a deep breath says, "are my husband and children still alive?"
"Yes, your majesty, they are." He says as alec visibly relaxes, releasing a breath. "Me and Magnus were being held in the same cell until I was pulled out, beaten and returned here with a message."
"What is the message?"
"He wants the king to meet him at the idris border with edom, alone and unarmed in three days."
"What if he doesn't?" Jace asks.
"Then Magnus will be next and they won't be as kind to him as they were me."
Alec is silent for a moment then asks, "What about the kids?"
"I don't know, I haven't seen them since we were taken."
"Ok." Alec looks at jace, motions for him to follow him then says to jerome, "get some rest."
Alec walks out of the room with jace following him.
"Alec, whatever you are planning, don't do it."
"How can you say that jace? I have to save my family."
"I know, alec. We have three days to make a plan. We will get them back."
