"Alexander." Magnus says, walking into his office. "Can I talk to you?"
"You know you can." He says, looking up.
"Why is our daughter playing with a letter opener?"
"She is helping me with official business."
"By playing with sharp objects?"
"Yes." Alec says, smiling.
Magnus shakes his head and says, "I need to talk to about something."
"Ok."
"While I was walking through the gardens I came upon the gaurds with two small boys, they were caught stealing food, I brought them into the palace, gave them both a bath, clothes and food."
"Ok."
"There's something else. They have been living on the streets for a while as orphans. The one doesn't even have a name and doesn't talk."
"Magnus, are you wanting to adopt them?"
"Yeah. If you want to."
"I'd like to meet them."
Magnus nods then walks back to the dining hall where the boys are finishing their meals.
"Come on."
"Are you making us leave?" Rafeal asks.
"No. There are a couple of people I want you to meet."
"Ok." Rafeal says as they both follow magnus.
They walk into alecs office and he looks up when they walk in.
"Where are we?" Rafeal asks, looking up at magnus.
"This is my husband, Alexander and our daughter magdaline."
"Hello." Alec says when neither by say anything.
"Are you king Alexander?"
"Yes, i am."
"Are we in trouble?"
"Why would you be in trouble?"
"Because only people who are in trouble are brought to see the king."
"Well, you aren't in trouble. Actually." Alec says, looking up at magnus. "We were wondering if you would like to live here and be our sons."
The boys look at each other then they both look back at magnus.
"Does that mean my friend will have a name?"
"Of course."
"What will it be?"
Magnus and alec share a look and alec says, "Maxwell Alexander. If that's ok?"
Both boys though still looking uncertain nod in response.
*********
"You mean you want to take two children who have been living on the streets for who knows how long and adopt them into the royal family?" The inquisitor says.
"Yes." Alec says.
"We won't allow it."
"I wasn't asking for your permission, I will do whatever I have to do in order to keep my sons. I was basically just telling you the plan of me and my husband."
"But, your majesty, I'm sure there are other children more suitable for adoption."
"More suitable? Any child without a home is suitable for adoption. I am adopting my sons and also, I want every orphanage in idris put on the permanent monthly allotments for money, I want them all taken care of." Alec says, walking out of the council chamber.
