'I don't want to go to the house quite yet.' Demi admits as Eddie begins to drive away from the airport.

'Okay. Where do you want to go?' He asks and she shrugs her shoulders.

'I'll just drive us somewhere then.' He says and she nods her head.

'Thank you.' She replies quietly.

'Talk to me, Demi? Mom and I had no idea that this was even happening, that you two were even thinking of divorce.' He says causing her to shake her head as she slides her sunglasses into her bag and pulls out her phone.

'I wasn't...' She replies as she begins to text Nick.

To Nick :
Landed. Airport was swarming with paps as we thought. In the car with dad xx

'What do you mean?' Eddie asks glancing over at her.

'Divorce didn't once cross my mind; this wasn't what I wanted. We'd been arguing more than usual but it was over the stupidest things; nothing that we couldn't fix in my opinion.' She replies shrugging her shoulders.

'So this was all Wilmer?' He asks and she nods her head.

'I came back from the gym on Friday and he'd already been to see a lawyer. I don't know what I did that was so wrong that he didn't want to fight for our marriage.' She replies, tears streaming down her cheeks as she stares out the window.

'Is there no coming back from this? Can't you two sit down and talk things over?' He asks and she shakes her head.

'I don't think so; he said he was done, he couldn't do it anymore and that this was the only option.' She replies.

'Oh, Demi... I'm so sorry.' He says and she shakes her head.

'That's not even the worst part.' She replies smiling slightly as she recognises where he's driving them to.

'What?' He asks pulling into a parking space under a large tree.

'I'm pregnant.' She replies.

'And he's left you? That fucking bastard; I will kill him!' He says.

'He doesn't know... I found out that morning at the gym and was planning on telling him when I got home; I never made it that far.' She replies.

'It's been ages since I came here.' She adds causing him to smile.

'I used to bring you here all the time when you were little and couldn't sleep, didn't I?' He asks and she nods her head.

'I loved it here.' She replies smiling slightly.

'Shall we go find the tree?' He asks and she nods her head. They get out the car  and begin walking down the path which leads them to the large tree.

'So you're having a baby.' Eddie says softly as they sit with their backs against the trunk of the tree.

'Mmm... Would you hate me if I said I was considering abortion?' Demi asks glancing over at Eddie.

'I wouldn't hate you; I can't say I 100% agree with it but I definitely wouldn't hate you.' He replies.

'I don't know what to do. I don't want to bring a baby into this situation.' She says resting her head against his shoulder.

'You have to do what's right for you, Demi. If that's abortion then mom and I will stand by you 100% but if you decide to have this baby then you're not going to be on your own.' He replies.

'We should get home.' She says glancing down at her phone.

'Yeah, we probably should.' He replies.

______

'Hey, sweetheart...' Dianna says as she makes her way into Demi's bedroom at a little after 9am.

'Hi, mom. I'll get up in a minute.' Demi replies wiping at her cheeks with her hand as she glances down at her phone.

'You don't have to get up if you don't want to; I just wanted to see how you're doing?' Dianna says sitting down on the edge of the bed. Sighing Demi shakes her head before handing her phone over to Dianna.

From Wilmer :
I think we should maybe post an announcement about the divorce. There's no point prolonging the inevitable and it will stop all the rumours. Let me know when is good for you?

'Dad told me that the divorce isn't something you wanted?' Dianna says and Demi shakes her head.

'I never wanted things to end like this. I know if he had just stayed we would've been able to work through any issues we had.' Demi replies causing Dianna to sigh.

'Oh, sweetie.' Dianna says softly as tears stream down Demi's cheeks.

'You promised me you would never hurt her.' Eddie says holding the phone to his ear as the sound of Demi sobbing fills the house.

'It wasn't working out. We were arguing all the time; I figured prolonging it would hurt her more. I have done what I think is the right thing to do.' Wilmer replies.

'You didn't even speak to her about it. You just decided to spring the decision on her when she got home one day? That is not how a marriage works; you talk things over, Wilmer. Maybe she's 100 times better off without you.'

'I didn't want this either, Eddie. Do you think I would've married her if I thought this was how it was going to turn out? I will always love Demi but sometimes love just isn't enough.'

'Love isn't enough when you don't even try to solve your issues. I mean what was so bad that wouldn't try to fix things? What did Demi do that was so wrong that you wouldn't fight for what you two had.'

'She didn't do anything; it just wasn't working out.'

'I trusted you to look after her and I hope to God that I never see you again because I don't know if I could even be in the same room as you.'

'Eddie!' Dianna shouts and he instantly hangs up the phone.

'What's wrong?' Eddie asks rushing to the bottom of the stairs where he finds Demi leaning heavily against his wife.

'Demi's pregnant and she's bleeding...' Dianna says.
