'Go away, Ris... I want my bed to myself.' Demi moans sleepily as she feels the covers shift and someone slide in beside her.

'Should I just go back to New York then?' A familiar voice says and instantly her eyes open.

'Wilmer?' She asks causing him to smile as he presses his lips against her shoulder.

'Hi, nena.' He says softly. Rolling onto her side she smiles as he runs his finger down her cheek.

'Hey, what's the matter? I can leave if you like?' He asks as tears fill her eyes.

'I just- Promise me this is what you really want, Wilmer. Promise me you're not only with me because of the baby?' She says and he pulls her closer to him.

'You are what I want. You are what I've always wanted. I know the whole divorce thing was a shit thing to do and I know that I'm probably going to have to earn your trust back but I'm willing to do anything to prove that I love you. I believe that even without this baby we would've found our way back to each other, even if the divorce had gone through.' He replies reaching up to wipe her tears away.

'How long are you here for?' She asks letting her head rest against his chest.

'A few days... I got the time off work for the baby show so that'll be good.' He says and she nods her head. She turns around so her back is against his chest.

'That'll be amazing.' She replies feeling his arms wrap around her waist until his hands slip under her shirt and settle on her stomach.

'Do you want to find out the baby's gender?' She asks.

'I'm not 100% sure. I can certainly see the benefits of finding out but I'd also love that surprise.' He replies and she nods her head.

'I'd like to keep it a surprise.' She says causing him to smile.

'Then we'll keep it a surprise.' He replies.

'Have you thought of any names?' She asks and he shakes his head.

'No; get some sleep, nena... I'll still be here in the morning.' He says and he feels her body instantly relax against his. He keeps his arms around her and presses soft kisses against her shoulder until her breathing eases out and he knows she is asleep.

'You made it then.' Marissa says as Wilmer makes his way into the kitchen.

'I did.' He replies smiling. Reaching into the fridge he grabs a bottle of water as Marissa sighs.

'Look, I'm gonna lie to you; you're not my favourite person at the moment. You done to her what you always said you wouldn't and she might be able to accept you back into her life just like that but I won't.' Marissa says.

'Ris, stop.' Demi says as she makes her way into the room.

'No. He deserves to know.' Marissa replies.

'It's okay, Dems. She's right.' Wilmer says glancing at Marissa.

'I did do what I promised I never would. I hurt her more than I ever wanted to. I know I'll need to work hard to earn not only her trust back but everyone who loves her but I'm willing to do that.' He explains as Demi moves towards him.

'I know I hurt you, nena. I know that I was a complete idiot who probably doesn't even deserve a second chance but I do love you.' He says.

'I know you do which is why I think you do deserve a second chance. What we have is worth fighting for and that's exactly what I'm going to do, Wilmer. I hope you'll do the same.' Demi replies tucking her body against his side as he drapes his arm over her shoulders.

'You're still not my favourite person.' Marissa says and Demi smiles slightly.

'I know I'm not but I will work on it.' Wilmer replies and Marissa nods her head.

'Okay.' Marissa says. She leaves the kitchen and Demi glances up at Wilmer as he runs his fingers through her hair.

'I've missed you.' She says quietly causing him to smile.

'I've missed you too.' He replies. Running his hand down her side she smiles slightly as it comes to rest on her stomach.

'I can't believe this is actually happening.' He admits.

'I think we should go for couples counselling, Wilmer. I know you're not the biggest fan of counselling but I think we both have things we need to talk through regarding the miscarriage and everything else that's happened.' She says and he nods his head.

'Okay. That's definitely something we can look into when we get home, yeah? I'm going to try spend as much time as I can in LA now; I know that me spending most of my time in New York certainly hasn't helped our relationship.' He replies and she smiles slightly.

'I can travel as well. Maybe we could get a place in New York and then split our time between the two.' She says and he nods his head.

'That's a good idea.' He replies.

'We made it work before while I was touring so we should be able to make it work now.' She says.

'I think with the combination of counselling and us both making more of an effort we'll be just fine.' He replies.
