'W-What's going on? Why isn't she crying?' Demi asks, tears filling her eyes as she attempts to move to get a better view only for Wilmer to place his hand on her shoulder so she can't move.
'Don't, nena.' He says quietly.
'Wilmer, you tell me right now why the fuck our daughter is not crying.' Demi says, tears flowing down her cheeks as Wilmer keeps his hand on her shoulder.
'She... The-' He begins before a small cry fills the room.
'She's absolutely fine.' Dr Beauchamp says as she lifts the baby and places her on Demi's chest.
'Oh, baby girl...' Demi says softly as Rita uses a soft towel to gently dry off the baby. Glancing up at Wilmer she notices the tears filling his eyes as he stares down at both of them.
'Would you like to come round this side and cut the cord, daddy?' Dr Beauchamp asks and Wilmer nods his head. He makes his way around to the other side of the bed and quickly cuts the cord before Rita adjusts the baby in Demi's arms.
'Hello, beautiful...' Demi says softly as she stares down at the baby.
'You done so well, nena.' Wilmer says making his way back to the other side of the bed as Demi smiles up at him before looking back down at the baby.
'Have you picked out a name for baby?' Rita asks and Demi bites her bottom lip as she glances back up at Wilmer.
'Charlotte.' She replies and he raises his eyebrows.
'Really?' He asks and she nods her head.
'You love the name Charlotte and I think it fits our baby girl perfectly.' She replies smiling.
'Charlotte Bluebell.' He says and she nods her head.
'Such a beautiful name.' Rita says smiling as Dr Beauchamp makes her way back to the bed.
'It's time to start delivering the placenta, Demi... Do you want to give baby to daddy and he can take her over to get weighed?' Dr Beauchamp asks and Demi nods her head.
'Stay with her.' Demi says passing Charlotte to Wilmer who smiles.

'So she's 5lbs 6oz which is small but she seems perfectly healthy.' Rita says smiling as she wraps Charlotte up in a fresh blanket.
'T-The cord thing, that won't cause any lasting damage will it?' Wilmer asks glancing back at Demi who's at the other side of the room having just delivered the placenta.
'It shouldn't, no. She's breathing fine and it wasn't tightly wrapped around so she should be fine. We'll do another check before you take her home but she should be fine.' Rita replies.
'Okay, thank you.' Wilmer says smiling as Rita places the baby in his arms.
'Hi, sweetpea.' Wilmer whispers as he stares down at the baby.
'Can I?' Wilmer asks gesturing towards Demi and Rita nods her head.
'Of course you can.' Rita replies. He cradles the little girl in his arms and makes his way over to Demi who smiles.
'How is she?' Demi asks.
'Good. She weighs 5lbs 6oz.' Wilmer replies smiling.
'You don't need any stitches or anything Demi which is great so I'll leave you three to it, okay? All you have to do is buzz if you need anything.' Dr Beauchamp says causing Demi to smile.
'Thank you.' She replies. Everyone leaves the room and Demi smiles as Wilmer sits on the edge of the bed with Charlotte in his arms.
'Do you want to go back to mommy?' Wilmer says glancing down at the baby.
'I might try feeding her.' Demi replies and Wilmer nods his head. He passes the baby to her and almost as soon as Demi holds her against her chest she latches on.
'What happened, Wil? When she was born?' Demi asks glancing up at him.
'The cord was wrapped around her neck twice.' He says causing her to gasp.
'Oh my god.' She almost whispers.
'She's fine, Dems. Dr Beauchamp managed to get it unwrapped and she's fine, isn't she? Rita said there probably won't be any lasting damage.' He says using his thumb to wipe a tear from her cheek.
'Our little Charlotte Bluebell.' She says softly causing him to smile.
'Charlotte Bluebell.' He replies.
