'I'm so sorry.' Wilmer says as Demi glances up at him.
'I don't want you to apologise, I just wanted you to know.' She replies.
'Come here...' He says putting out his arms. Instantly she moves towards him and smiles slightly as he wraps his arms around her waist.
'I don't want you to worry about bringing up things in the past. I need you to talk to me, Dems. I'm not going anywhere. I've actually been thinking and I think when I go back to work I'm going to tell them I quit.' He says.
'What? Why? You love that job... Please don't do this because of me.' She replies and he shakes his head.
'This is something I should've done a long time ago. My priorities are you and Charlotte now; I can't look after you both if I'm in a different state. I'd never forgive myself if something happened and I wasn't there.' He says.
'This is what you want?' She asks and he nods his head.
'I don't want to miss her first word or her first step. I want to be at home.' He replies.
'Is it bad that I'm happy?' She asks.
'No. I should've done this when we got married; I shouldn't have waited until it nearly broke us.' He replies.
'We'll be okay.' She says and he nods his head.
'We'll be more than okay; we'll be absolutely perfect.' He replies kissing the top of her head as a small whimper comes from the cot.
'Oh someone doesn't like being centre of attention.' Wilmer says causing Demi to smile as she pulls away from his chest.
'What's the matter, baby girl.' Demi asks making her way over to the cot. Leaning down she lifts the baby into her arms and cradles her against her chest.
'Is she hungry?' Wilmer asks.
'I don't think so. I only fed her like twenty minutes ago. I think she just wants a cuddle, don't you.' Demi replies smiling as she glances down at the baby. Sitting back down on the bed she smiles as Wilmer quickly snaps a picture.

'My girls...' He says softly.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
'Hi, only me... I just wanted to let you know that Dr Beauchamp says you're more than welcome to go home today if you like.' A nurse says peeking her head around the door.
'Really?' Demi asks and the nurse nods her head.
'You can stay another night if you feel more comfortable but you're more than free to take your baby girl home... Just buzz and let me know?' The nurse replies and Demi smiles.
'Okay, thank you.' Demi says.
'What do you want to do?' Wilmer asks making his way over to the bed as the nurse leaves the room.
'I don't know... Being at home in our bed sounds perfect but I'm scared.' Demi admits.
'We'll be fine. It won't get any easier, nena.' He says and she nods her head.
'I know.' She replies quietly.
____
'So I know I said I didn't want to post anything when she was first born but now that we're home...' Demi says glancing up at Wilmer who smiles.
'Shall we let the world know we've got a daughter?' He asks and she nods her head.

'Kelsey's going to bring the dogs back tomorrow so we've got tonight to settle in.' Wilmer says as he sits down on the edge of the sofa and runs his finger down Charlotte's cheek.
'Could you take her so I can go get a coffee?' Demi asks and he shakes his head.
'You stay here with her and I'll go make you a coffee, okay?' He replies kissing the top of her head.
'Thank you, babe.' She replies smiling. He stands up and makes his way into the kitchen as she glances down at her daughter in her arms.
